I live in PCB, I get people of all ages wanting to take pictures or sit in it. It’s mainly younger people

Comparing the C8 to a boxster is the funniest shite I’ve heard in a while. I also have a current gen M5, the C8 is just a different animal even with 100 less HP than the M5

I bought my wife a 23 540i for her birthday and all things being equal, it is the best-balanced road car I've ever driven.
Loved it so much I almost bought a M5 Competition with sunroof, carbon roof delete.

Stayed with Porsche though...

I bought the M5 for myself, and my wife drives it daily it truly is mind boggling a car that size handles as well as it does.

Go to Bowling Green if you are serious, test it out on their track.

I have a friend the just got one but that's a thing in Paso Robles. I suppose you'd have to live there to understand it.

I was just looking at premium pickups and you'd pay/play in the same $82-85,000 ballpark for a GMC Denali or a Ford F150 Limited.

I believe student loans are a scam. Doesn’t mean I’m poor

I haven't driven one yet but have a close friend who rented one out in Las Vegas and took it out to the desert.

FWIW, he is a true car guy and has owned more high end sports cars than I can remember. He also track races. I listen to him on the subject of performance cars.

He said the new Vette is "amazing" and more fun than his Porsche. Before anyone loses their mind... He didn't say "faster, better or nicer", he said "more fun." He is considering selling his 911 and getting one.

Corvette sales have been trending younger for awhile now.

Very true. As I have seen it first hand at vette shows in the last few years. There are plenty C5 & 6's on the market and young folks are grabbing them up as first time owners. I was at a show a few weeks back and was actually shocked at the number of C8's pulling in with young drivers.

2023 convertible, Z51. I had a C6 and a C7. This is an entirely different car in a better way. Very fun to drive. Only drawback - but it was one I knew when purchasing - not much space for shite. Good enough for a long weekend with the wife. You couldn't go on a golf weekend with a friend unless you shipped your clubs.

You know how I know nobody in this thread owns a high end sportscar?

The only thing you attract with Ferraris and lambos are mouth breathers who want to ask how much you paid for it at the gas station. Occasionally you'll get the true gear head wanting to know actual performance questions.

It's kinda like fancy watches. The only people who care are other men and hookers.

Women by and large know nothing about cars and don’t really care. They just see dollars signs

If you've been driving a Subaru, the ghetto crappiness of a Corvette is gradually going to drive you (and the service department you complain to) insane.
