What brand of boots are yall wearing for hunting season?
I need new insulated boots for cold weather. Lace up and regular rubber boots.

I just purchased my second pair of xtratuf hunting boots and think they are the most comfortable boots I have walked in.

Sierra has them for half off right now.

I wear schnees bear tooth lace ups and regular green lacrosse rubber boots. Neither one insulated. Insulated boots are turrible

Had a discount code to use at Lacrosse so I picked up the Alphaburley 800G this past weekend. They felt good for a rubber boot. I’d recommend them as long as you aren’t hiking long distances.

Curious as to why you say insulated boots are terrible. Heading to MO first week of November and everyone has recommended getting insulated hiking boots.

+1 for Pronghorns. I have the 400 g insulated and the uninsulated. They've been great.

I greatly prefer regular uninsulated boots and good wool socks. If your feet are cold and not exposed, you need better core temp management. I've hunted arse deep snow in single digit temps in uninsulated hiking boots and my feet were fine.

Insulated boots in my experience rarely fit very well. They hold moisture in the insulated. They cause my feet to sweat more than just socks. Boot blankets can offer more insulation that is easily removed and put back on as needed.

I'm a big fan of LaCrosse and think they are the gold standard.........having said that.

I got a good deal on Irish Setter rubber boots 1200g thinsulate and a pair of lace up 400g for fair weather.

The lace ups are excellent. Bought them a few years back for chasing turkeys in the mountains of New Mexico. Really comfortable.

Need to know where you are hunting.

MS or LA? Crocks with socks.

Bought the Schnee’s beartooths myself thinking they would be my mountain boots only. They are such quality boots and have quickly become my goto deer boots.

I was hoping to swap from something other than the normal rubber/Muck boot this year. Definitely don't need them for Kansas but not sure it was worth buying something if all of the other hunting is around the BR area.

I go every year and bring 3 different pairs of boots because you never know how the weather is going to be. I have a pair of Cabelas insulated hiking boots I wear if it’s dry and cold. Which is probably what I’ll be wearing this year. If it’s wet and cold, and/or snowing, I wear 800 gram insulated lacrosse burlys. A lot of people go with more insulation but I think the 800’s are perfect because they aren’t as bulky and your feet won’t sweat as much as they will in 1200 or 1600’s. And then I wear lacrosse alpha agility’s non insulated for everything else. The agility’s are my go to boot for down here the majority of the season. If it’s colder, I just wear a good merino sock and I’ll change my socks if I walk a long ways and my feet sweat.

I got some new Mucks at the end of last year. I like them so far. Very comfortable.
