with Gallen looming on Friday night

Dbacks can clinch a wild card with a win and Cubs loss today. You'd have to imagine they save Gallen to start game 1 of the WC if they clinch today

This is Bergman’s fault. Make a damn play at third and they get nothing there. at this point Bregman is a zero at the plate..not even drawing walks, and now he’s a minus defender..get a serviceable player out there!!!

I would call this a bit overly emotional and clearly not based on facts.

Don’t DAT my DAT.

Not going to lie, watching the Cubs bullpen piss away leads to the Braves the last two nights makes me chuckle.

The "I am a Cubs fan, which makes me a baseball savant" crowd has to be having a hard time with this.

And "Go Cubs Go" is ghey.

And give Dubon credit for the biggest hit of the season. Someone (looks around nervously … fine, it was me) criticized him sharply 3 days ago for the “We’re Houston” comment, but he backed it up in a critical spot. And he’s had some big hits and helped keep them afloat earlier in the season. I’m happy for him.

We also have to admit, he was the best off-season signing for only 1.4 million.

Yes

Pull for the Rangers tonight

I do think it is the best outcome

Click is responsible for Yainer and Dubon. For Myles Straw and Michael Papierski respectively.

IMO the most important outcome is the dbacks beating the white sox and the braves beating the cubs. Avoiding Gallen and Kelly would be huge

That would be great, but I have a soft spot for the Cubs

Especially after their last 2

Cubs fans played the "woah is me." card for decades.

The finally win the WS, and everyone (except maybe Yankees fans) were happy.

Then the shitty band wagon fans stepped on the Cubs train.

I'll never feel good about their winning again. The wannabe lifetime cubs fans have ruined that organization.

Maybe the Red Sox will be better next year so then they'll go back to that train.

Oh boy, saw some reports that Neris dropped a homophobic slur last night towards JRod.

Not what I saw on several Astros FB pages. I saw he called him "cono." Spanish for pussy! That's kind of awesome of Neris!

Stole this from someone. Win the series and we are in. Lose the series and we are depending on the Mariners knocking out the Rangers.

I’d prefer we play a good starting pitcher..just hope he gets the lineup right.

Any sympathy I had for the Cubs died years ago in the Sosa/Prior/Wood era when they and their fans got too big for their britches. Throw in Dusty Baker coming into manage them, and I pretty much came to hate the Cubs. And I still do.

JRod is such a pussy arse bitch. It’s all fun and games when he hits the homers and does the hollering.

Should Neris have taken steps towards him? Probably not, but shite if they’ve had a relationship as friends for three years like Neris said why would JRod all of the sudden get butthurt. I dislike the Mariners and their fan base a bunch more than I dislike this iteration of the Rangers (outside of Semien)
