I really don't want Pressly anywhere near a 1 run lead.

Framber dialed it in in the first to only give up 1 run

Yorgod got it started, Uncle Mike kept the lineup moving, and the bullpen did it’s thing

Nice to finally win a series…been a bit. Let’s not frick it up this weekend, boys.

I have a responsibility here, as much as I dislike this year's team.

There's some path where the AL West is still possible but I'm a little too drained to confidently write it.

I think we need to sweep Arizona while Texas goes 1-3 in Seattle. That would put us in a 90-72 tie breaker with Texas that we win with Seattle at 89-73. Texas magic number is 2 so we can't have them go 2-2. If we went 2-1, we need to Texas to go 0-4 but that means 4-0 for the Mariners which would put us all at a 89-73 tie and put us in 3rd place.

If Tex, Hous and Seattle each finish 89-73 then Seattle wins the division and Houston gets the wildcard over Texas.

In this scenario the only way Texas gets the last WC is if they are tied or ahead of Toronto in final standings.

Good summary of the playoff scenarios by both of you.

Neris showed more life in that one sequence last night than the whole team has since the sweep in Texas.

And give Dubon credit for the biggest hit of the season. Someone (looks around nervously … fine, it was me) criticized him sharply 3 days ago for the “We’re Houston” comment, but he backed it up in a critical spot. And he’s had some big hits and helped keep them afloat earlier in the season. I’m happy for him.

Dusty Baker can still frick off.

at this point Bregman is a zero at the plate..not even drawing walks, and now he’s a minus defender..get a serviceable player out there!!!

he has the most walks of any AL player this year, tied with Ohtani. also he isn't a minus defender, he is average

walked his first AB last night

Oh boy, saw some reports that Neris dropped a homophobic slur last night towards JRod.

Games of interest today:

Blue Jays (Bassitt) vs. Yankees (Weaver) 6:07ct
Rangers (Montgomery) vs. Mariners (Gilbert) 8:40ct

2.5 back of the division
.5 back of the WC2 spot
1.5 up in the WC3 spot

Kinda torn on what I would like to see happen today, not holding the tie breaker and no game 163 makes me very nervous so as much as I'd like to push the Rangers for the division it might be better if they win tonight for the breathing room because these Astros still cannot be trusted especially with Gallen looming on Friday night
