Following Diplo on social media is a trip. The amount of places the guy goes in a given month is crazy. Stops of 12 hours or less in places. Waking up Burning Man in a balloon and closing out in a DC club is just part of what he does.

If you google what he has produced you have no doubt heard his stuff. The diplo/major lazer stuff was even popular.

MIA - Paper Planes is something he produced.

Well, he saved Chris Rock's life, so....that's a plus. Unless, you're Will Smith.

Burning Man Festival Declares National Emergency

Reclining man declares I don't think Burning Man can declare national emergencies.

I can assure you the average Burning Man attendee is not dependent on public largesse.

dont know about hippies. have you seen how expensive that bullshite festival is? I thought it was all tech douchebags from the Bay Area that go now.

Good point. And also some just random eclectic types of all walks. Lots of various level celebs also.

Cultural event in the middle of the desert.

Supposed to be an idea of independent economy while allowing art and yada yada.

The idea and what it actually is you can liken to Red Dress Run in New Orleans.

What charity does Burning Man support?

Where do they get the electricity, water and sewer services?

I understand it’s on an Indian Reservation, are they liable if anything were to go down?

Is it a concert? What artist perform at this event?

Burning Man isn't some secret. There are tons of documentaries on it.

Don't think it is about charity.
Responsible for your own livelyhood; but aid stations happen now.
No idea, but think they carry a FAFO policy
Yes. Art. Music is an art. Rich people are enamored by it and spend lots of money to "win".

Hippies Declare National Emergency as heavy rains trap upwards of 70k at Burning Man

99% of them are upper middle class suburban dwellers trying to be hip rather than hippy.

Only people I have known to go lately are upper upper middle class looking to reconnect with their college days where they felt free.

Basically, wanted to smoke weed and do molly/coke for 4 days as some sort of midlife restoration.
