In my day, not only would we still have school, the administration would have had us combing the campus, looking for the bomb.

I have a former acquaintance that did this a A Durchtown school 10 years or so ago. He was a teacher at the school. He had a lot of personal issues going on at the time and needed to miss work and was out of PTO. That was his reasoning. He sent the email from a home computer and not a mobile device.
Cops swarmed his house by noon and arrested him. He got in a LOT of trouble for it. Charged with terrorizing; etc.
From a mobile device, they can see from the towers for a general idea and once the have a suspect,I’m sure that they can determine is by phone analysis. I don’t really know from that point, depends on how the kid did it.

it really doesn't matter, there are not enough trained people to comb each campus and call it all clear before they are full of kids, etc..
this, is the reason LP did what they did..They don't make many smart decisions, but this was actually one

They can target many schools at once in multiple states. They just skim the Internet for emails on school websites and send threat emails en masse. There are probably dozens of other schools in other states with the same thing going on today. There is no coordination among school systems to communicate its likely a troll and everyone reacts differently. In fact for many school systems on the East Coast its the first day of school today.

These kids are stupid. Should’ve called it in Friday and got a four day weekend. Don’t know if they still do this but back in my day they’d tell us there was a bomb threat as cover to bring out dogs and search the school for drugs but they never sent us home just went to hang out on the football field til they were done.

These aren't kids at local schools doing this. This shite is getting blasted out statewide and likely much more widespread than that.
