Actually, our actions in Ukraine are aligning the western world and isolating Russia. China is way too pragmatic to join Russia in isolation. Had Russia rolled, the power would have shifted away from America.

How did that work out in the early 40s???

Blowhard Vivek would laugh at you and tell you to stop conflating Russia with the USSR.

Ukraine as far as I'm concerned isn't either but they're probably somewhere in neutral territory.

You certainly have a peculiar way of describing the relationship between a power hungry pimp and an addled crack whore.

What would that be? Honest question, please explain.

Permitting Ukraine to join the EU/West would be very beneficial to us, and would be particularly harmful to Russia, long-term. That's a potential double-sided win, strengthening us and hurting one of our few global oppositional actors (rivals is too kind to 3rd world Russia).

This is exactly why Russia has been so active in interjecting itself in Ukraine since at least 2010, causing the Maidan Revolution in 2014 after Russia and its puppet unilaterally rescinded Ukrainian EU integration and entered into a shitty trade deal with Russia instead (which would have subjugated Ukraine).

This just isn’t reality.

They are joining with them and they’re not in isolation.

Had Russia rolled a corrupt leader in Ukraine would have been replaced with another corrupt leader in Ukraine, nothing more, other than hundreds of thousands of lives saved and the US having another $100B.

Do you really believe we would still have 100 Billion dollars more?
That’s not how it goes.

The fact it's anything by any party over 5% is scary. Somewhere Baghdad Bob is blushing.

While I have a fundamentally different view of the world and geopolitics from you I generally regard you as informed and intelligent.

But that statement by you above comes across as astonishingly ignorant.

Perhaps you didn’t mean to imply that Russia has been active in Ukraine since 2010. Perhaps you are in fact aware that Russia has been intertwined and active in Ukraine on a profound level for practically their entire histories, including what average people in America would view as the quiet years.

And perhaps you didn’t mean to intend that we didn’t plan, organize, help execute a coup after an election in 2014?

As we speak, Ukraine is winning.

BUT!!!!

They have not won, and odds still favor a Russian victory.

It’s anyone’s game at this point. Ukraine has troops with higher moral.
Russia has more troops to loose.
Russia’s economy is starting to tank.
Western resolve is starting to weary.
Ukraine has higher tech weaponry.
Russia has more equipment.

I’m not betting on either side for the win, but if I absolutely had to put money on the outcome, I’d play the odds and pick Russia.

Biggest grift I can think of was probably when Caepio stole the gold of Tolosa. None of these shennanigans are new to this world.

Extra retarded Tucker Carlson claims the USA hates Russia and Hungary because they are Christian countries.

LINK
quote:

“They hate Hungary. And they hate it not because of what it’s done, but because of what it is. It’s a Christian country and they hate that. And that’s the truth. And nobody wants to say it, but it’s true.”

quote:

“That is exactly why they hate Russia,” he said.

He claimed that the reason some call Viktor Orbán a “Putin suck-up” is because “one thing that Russia and Hungary have in common is, a big part of the population identify as Christians.”

That Christian identity, he said, is “not fine with Washington at all.”

Russia isn’t a Christian country, what’s he thinking? Sure Christians live there, but I wouldn’t say they are a Christian nation.

It was in reference specifically to the EU integration.

Russia causing a civil war allowed the opportunity for an election that we likely influenced.

People want to try to hard to claim that what we likely did in 2014 started this to make the US look bad, when it was started by Russia long before that.

That all became irrelevant once Zelensky took over, anyway. Our puppet was ousted by an outsider (which is nor organic than being ousted after a civil war you created, you have to admit).

A stronger Russia?

I can't see how this would materialize from the conflict to be honest

They're getting embarrassed on the world stage and it is being proven that their military might isn't what people may have thought it was
