look at the latest intensity models. All kinds of interesting in those.
Those seem to underestimating intensity considering it’s already a solid Cat 2 with 24 or so hours to go

Surprising we don’t have someone on the OT who hasn’t been a hurricane hunter.
There is a poster who is one. He posted pics from the plane last year, can’t remember who it is though

Idalia is looking MUCH more organized in the last 30 minutes and that eye is almost fully wrapped.

Taylor County...
Right where I live. As somebody else says not a lot of stuff there,,,But we are Camper and RV Fishing Camp country for a pile of folks.
Florida and Georgia both have a pile of them here.
Been watching folks pull RV's and Boats out all day.
Gonna be a shite ton of tore up Camps by tomorrow.
Sad for them folks , most of them bring their familys here for vacation , Scalloping and Fishing and just family Good times.
I'm watching it close and just might bail about 5 am.
Truck is already packed.

noaa recon approaching the eye from the nw, should have dropsonde data shortly, but this will probably be cat 3 within a few hours I would assume.
edit: should also be able to confirm the eye wall closing back up like it seems from ir and radar
