quick one day/night visit
it may take you 8-12 hours just to get in, and in one day, you prob couldn’t see more than 5% or experience 1% of the magic

I USED to enjoy myself at big music festivals
Good thing about this is it’s not a music festival,,,,yes there music, but it’s not even the major part of the event,,,,,soooo much more than music,,,,,,no place on earth where you could go to a prayer tent across the street from the orgy some, then walk down the street and get a free massage, and immediately get a fresh cooked pizza given to you at a yoga gathering

The first two Burning Man events were held at Baker Beach in San Francisco. About 40 people showed-up and it was free.

Yeah. I’m aware of what Burning Man is like. I was just drawing a parallel between musical festivals as an indicator of my old man dislike for large, organized or disorganized, multi day gatherings of people that might or might not involve hedonism and debauchery.

Daylong or multi day Festivals are definitely for the younger generation.

Lallapalooza debuted when I was in college and I couldn’t imagine the arse whipping if I went to one today. But it was a blast back then.

Ran across this thread on pg 3 researching a different destination. Curious about any updates after the flood-in. Have you made it out yet?

So I just got off of the Playa and I’m enroute to Reno, honestly the media oversold this,,,,yes a few people panicked and walked out, or tried to drive out, but by yesterday the whole area was drivable and the city returned to normal. I had fun, again

Primarily clinic issues, dehydration, primarily minor trauma but some major trauma, strokes, a few heart attacks, lots of psych issues, some OB/gyn problems, a couple really serious medical issues that resulted in unresponsiveness, but the vast majority presented to the hospital and were discharged within an hour

What’s a homicidal issue? Is it not either a homicide or not?

Surprised you didn't list OD's. How much Narcan did you administer?

I forgot to list ODs,,,,,there were quite a few,,,,we did give a lot, but not all ODs respond to naloxone,,,,we did have a few who OD’d on “mad honey”,,,,look that up.
