I always enjoyed the ride as a kid but it had a fatal flaw. The ride

I have had the faintest memories since it closed when I was young. However, when I rode the ride a few years ago in Disneyland a wave of nostalgia rolled over me. It had been mostly redesigned but something about the sub brought me back to when I was 4.

The flaw was lack of AC

I am old enough, but the family never made it to Disney World.

25 years ago it was shut down. The area was used as for character meet and greets

Not sure how far back you would have to go when it was operable.

I enjoyed it as a kid at Disneyland, before Disneyworld was built.

I’ve read where this was the most expensive ride to maintain ever. Even when adjusted for inflation

I remember it well, but my favorite was Jungle Cruise. So many non-PC dad jokes from the cast members on that ride back in the day.

Was talking about this ride the other day with my wife. Can't believe my dad and mom stayed in line for 1 1/2 hours or more for me to ride that "submarine".

Remember this ride well. As a kid I was stupid enough to believe we were real deep in the water. That was until my cousin made me look up at the window and you could see the surface of the water. Still loved it though.

I had a Polaroid picture I’d taken from inside that ride about 1972 of a fake plastic floating fish tethered to a string but floating upside down.

I’d share it except Katrina floodwaters ruined the photo, thanks Obama.

Like one of these-

we took our kids when they were young. The first night we were there we took the ride with maybe 45 minutes to go before the fireworks display. They had a mechanical problem and e got stuck on the damn thing for over an hour and missed the fireworks.

I was not pleased.

I went to Disney world once when I was 4 I think. Definitely younger than 5.

I have basically one photo memories of being in that sub, the teacups, dumbo ride, and some boats... I think a automated singing bear thing too, like showbiz.
