At least in my niche of the world and definitely in my firm I haven't seen culture at least from the work ethic POV change much in 30 years. We just hired the first batch of Gen Z last year and pretty much every one of them is a grinder.
Almost all of them have been grinding for years. They did it in HS to get into a T14 then they did it in law school to land a $200k-a-year associate position, then they grind because the next brass ring is partnership and only about 25% of them will get there. If anything they work longer, harder, and are more productive than we were 30 years ago. Adderall seems to help.
I suppose some of the culture not involved with work ethic has changed. Not as many strip club sagas, the Xmas party is tamer (but it had gotten out of hand), and jokes avoid some low-hanging fruit that they wouldn't have decades ago but in general it is still a long work week get shite done mentality where people keep the mask of professionalism on when client facing.
Edit used Millennial when I meant Gen Z

Yes, I constantly get mixed them up, we just hired our first Gen Z or Zoomers as associates.

Younger guys we hire don’t know what initiative is. They do what they are told, but that’s it. Then you have to micro-manage them.
The boomers don’t want to teach anyone what they know.

You need a good student to be able to teach. Read your the first quote. They have to be able to pick up the ball. Or as Obtuse1 says. Be a “grinder”.

As mentioned earlier, I had a manager ask me to type their emails and I walked into the President's office and he was fired This was about 10 years ago

That’s pretty much all generations.
