I can forgive the bobbled ball but the mental errors are unbelievable for Thompson I don't think he can handle the pressure. That being said I support our team and you dance with the girl that you brought to the party. He's the guy who got us here and his bat was better yesterday at least he hit the ball. Geaux Tigers!

Put on the ring tonight JT and then shove it in their faces. Tonight is the night.

I’ve grumbled about him, admittedly. But I’ll get behind and support him. Let’s Geaux!

Jordan Thompson is a major part of the reason these Fighting Tigers are playing for a Natty today.

Dude has really pissed me off lately.

But dang it, he’s a tiger so I’ll root for him.

You don’t just jump out of a 1-30 slumps and playing bad defense. I like Thompson, but LSU will have to overcome his play to win. Plain and simple.

Biggest thing for me was his thrown away ball to 3rd. That wasn't just a bad throw, that was a mind that was racing out of control not knowing what to do followed by a yipp throw. That tells me he can't slow the game down in his mind on the biggest stage. That's not dogging him as a person, it's just simply that he's not responding to pressure at all and that usually doesn't self correct overnight. That said, I hope he gets a walkoff win tonight and is the hero. I'm rooting for him.

Sometimes it just takes one good play to correct itself, especially with this level of athletes. I’m not disagreeing with you though. He actually hit the ball well yesterday and had some hard fouls, at least he was putting the bat on the ball though. Hopefully his hits come today

He has been on this slide hitting and fielding the last 3rd of the season. The unfortunate thing is you cant sit him like normal when a player gets in a slump to re-focus.The infield roster is very light and Guidry pushed into pitching didnt help that cause.Instead of fighting through it,unfortunately it started snowballing.

Jordan had a bad game

In the 12 post season games
he’s batting .187
5 runs
4 rbi

He’s been awful minus a few play’s defensively but he’s washed that out with errors.

I can’t wait to congratulate him for being drafted

JT is having the worse CWS than any Tiger I can recall. His at bat are abysmal. He doesn't know how to layoff of a pitch.

Jordan had a bad game, it happens. He got caught up in the moment while our pitching was being taken to the woodshed and he just tried too hard to make plays. He'll be fine tonight.

Thompson playing well is good for LSU. I hope he goes off tonight. That said, if I’m looking at him like I look at the form of a horse, there’s nothing to make me want to bet him. He’s not getting any class relief tonight. No significant changes. No encouraging works. He’s doing the same thing he’s been doing for the last 3 years, the way he’s been doing it for the last 3 years. A blind squirrel, every dog, anything can happen; but only a fool would back him. That or you’re just a delusional degenerate looking trying for the big payday. I hope you hit.

I support all of our athletes that wear the Purple & Gold. I am tired of seeing disrespect for Jordan Thompson.

Jordan has been loyal to the program and this University.

Please check in below and go on record now. After the first pitch tomorrow, only those who signed in this post can celebrate Jordan when he has a clutch play that contributes to us raising the hardware tomorrow evening.

Geaux Jordan and Geaux All of OUR Tigers!

I will always pull for any athlete representing LSU. Having said that, making a comment wanting someone else to get a chance at SS is not being disrespectful to Jordan Thompson or LSU. What it really boils down to is this: he is 1/30 with 14 K's. He has had, I believe, 3-4 errors just in this world series, including 3-4 plays yesterday that resulted in multiple runs being scored. Those aren't opinions, those are just basic facts. If he played for Florida, every single one of us would be praying that they kept him in the lineup for tonights game! I guess I am just confused as how wanting someone else to replace a player that has the numbers listed above is being disrespectful to said player. Was Saban being disrespectful to Jalen Hurts when he took him out in the 2nd half of the National Championship game and replaced him with Tua? The most important game of the year and the most important position on the team, he took out a guy who led the team all-year when it was clear in that game that he was struggling? I certainly hope he turns it around but wanting someone else to have a chance in the most important game of the year isn't being disrespectful to Thompson.

Jordan has had a phenomenal season this year. Yes, he's been slumping as of late, but the guy has improved drastically since last year. In baseball if you fail 70% of the time, you're a hell of a player. He was a highlight reel on defense in the Supers, and the two balls he hit yesterday would have been over the wall in Alex Box. Come on JT!!
