“The 2-hour, 58-minute thriller was the first CWS game in the aluminum bat era — since 1974 — where both starters went at least seven innings while allowing three hits or fewer. Skenes fired eight shutout stanzas. Lowder went seven.”

Some real grown men pitching out there tonight.

A beautiful exhibition of pitching talent on display.

Wrecked my fricking nerves though.

What a stat. Both excellent but Paul was simply better.

In a year where more runs are being scored.

While not a Warren Morris, oh shite, quick jolt experience, that was an amazing game. Anyone who remotely enjoys baseball loved that display of pitching and defense.

No team putting forth that effort should walk off that field feeling like they didn’t give it their all. That game was a gift to baseball fans.

As the late great Yogi Berra once said, "Good pitching beats good hitting and vice versa."

People keep saying this. Our offense has been a liability for almost a month now.

We scored something like 44 runs in the regional and super regional combined. All within this month. Not true.

What really stands out to me is that a 11 inning game only took 2:58min. We couldn’t do that in 9 innings prior to this year and you can only do that but sitting them down in damn near order.

It wore me out. Every pitch seemed intense. You knew if someone got lucky and got the bat around on one that was going to be it.

I am still in awed wonder over Morgan's play on the bunt. That play is the reason we are still playing.

My friend and a fellow TD poster I won’t name was saying that game was so boring…..like dude are you kidding me we just watched an all time classic. He just didn’t like that it wasn’t typical lsu baseball like we’ve been used to this season but no one said it’d be easy.

Best pitched College Baseball game I've ever seen. The 2013 Supers against OU is the only thing that comes close with Nola and the OU Ace I can't remember his name off the top of my head.
