Taking the family to The Grand for a few days. Would love to get into town for a meal or two if there are any family-friendly options around.

Moe's Original BBQ nearby in Daphne is a treasure. Good food and cool hangout.

Good rec. Fish River Grill, which is just out of town toward the Grand, is a good family friendly spot.

Tamara’s is damn good. Nothing but families up in there. My family goes there 3-4 times a month. Really like their brunch. They’re fish, steak, lamb, it’s all good. Dragonfly Foodbar is good. It’s like a taco and Asian fusion place. Very popular place. Love their chicken wings appetizer. You got to trust me on that appetizer. They have a little something for everyone. Master Joe’s is good for sushi. They serve other stuff kids will eat. My son likes their Japanese style shrimp fried rice. It’s not like eating at a Japanese or Chinese restaurant. It’s more laid back. Folks are up in their chilling drinking a cold one. The locals really like that place. Sage Lebanese is great. Love their lamb. My kids like it, but if yours are picky Mediterranean might not suit them. Another Broken Egg isn’t bad. I like Locals because they serve hamburgers like buffalo, boar, and other meats that you don’t see served in restaurants. Panini Pete’s has damn good hamburgers. My favorite is that blue cheese one but some folks don’t dig blue cheese but their other burger options are good. Their paninis are good but those burgers are very good. It’s that good. Ravenite Pizza is different. I kind of like thin pizza, beer, and shoot some pool with the kids.
*All of these places are within walking distance of each other.

Gambino’s Italian has some dishes I like. Oddly enough my favorite thing there is the ribeye and filet. Those steaks are good. I had Triggerfish topped with crab that was excellent recently. Had Seabass as their special a few months ago and loved it. Sunset Pointe at Fly Creek Marina has amazing sunsets on the bay. The eastern shore has beautiful sunsets on Mobile bay.

Fairhope is a laid back place. Any of the restaurants you can wear whatever you want within reason. Gambino's is a little more fancy and so is Tamara’s, but they aren’t stuffy. I live on the Fairhope Daphne line. The cities are connected. Not a restaurant I gave you is bad. Is it New Orleans good? Absolutely not. But all I think on this board wouldn’t complain.

Jesses in Magnolia Springs is high end dining but casual. That place has kids all up in it. Right close to the Daphne Fairhope line in Daphne is a place called Southwood Kitchen. The owner was one of the main chefs at Jesses. That place requires a reservation and I see families all up in there. That place is excellent. It’s more fine dining but not stuffy.

Sunset Pointe is a perfect family spot, especially on a day with great weather. Agree on Panini Pete’s for great sandwiches.

Hit up Mr. Gene’s Beans for ice cream.

Go to Page and Palette bookstore downtown for coffee (and a bookstore for the kids).

Jesse’s is elite, but probably not the most family friendly. The Wash House is good food, but if you’re seated in the wrong section, it can be loud as F.

Southwood Kitchen in Daphne is great, but out of the way and probably not the most family friendly.

Really depends on what vibe you’re looking for and what your kids can handle. If you just want a casual pizza, go to Ravenite.

I stayed at the Grand Memorial Day weekend. Lovely place although the parking can be difficult at times.

We tried Gambino's. Lots of families there but we were underwhelmed with the food. The portions were big and just OK. Will try Tamara's next year!
