Strong yes from me on the circumcision. Those that equate this to trans surgery, genital mutilation, etc., are complete idiots.
While it may not matter much in the modern world from a medical standpoint, cultural norms and traditions are not without value. If you are a middle-class or higher white person in America, the extreme vast majority of males are circumcised, meaning your child would be the odd duck in the dating/marriage pool.

My vote is no. I am circumcised but it is genital mutilation...period.

It is completely different. It's not even close to being the same. One originated from cleanliness and one is purposefully to decrease sexual stimulation.

Yay. If your son decides to do it in later life, it is very painful. Nobody later in life ever wants to undo a circumcision.

I had never seen an uncircumcised pecker until I started playing football at a majority minority public high school.
Those things were hideous. I enjoy looking at the clean cut looking ones like mine much more.
So my vote yes, do it.

I deal with a mild case of phimosis. But two years ago, I infamously got stuck peeling the foreskin back and it wouldn’t retract back. I have been watching what soaps I use and I have to make sure I don’t dry out my skin there or the skin will crack.
My Urologist wants to perform a circumcision but I am hesitant for the recovery.
So get the circumcision when you are young.

You’re using the word “need” as if it has a place in this conversation. It’s not about need, it’s about want.
A buddy of mine waited until college to get snipped. He mentioned he hated showering at PE in school and in gyms, because his tool was visibly different.
The reason? Much more difficult to get laid when women are disgusted by an anteater. They are not used to seeing it, and it requires more maintenance. It’s not a deal breaker with nasty arse liberal women who have shite piercing their noses and are tatted up. But it’s a deal breaker with classy women.
He became much happier after getting snipped…though healing was uncomfortable, but worth it.
