The USS kearsarge gets it's AC from sucking in sea water and circulating it to blow the cooler air through the system.
When we ported in Abu Dhabi the wayer temp was 150 so the " air" was about 120.

I still think trains were the best way to travel across the USA
+ Real food cooked in a real kitchen when you ordered
+ Bar car - stiff drinks and good bartenders
+ Seating not designed by MBA's
+ Dining car - like eating in a restaurant
+ Sleeping car
+ Observation car - glass bubble roof to look at what you passed
+ Trunk car - think "Joe vs Volcano" luggage
+ Auto car - you took your own car with you
+ Private car - if you were really rich
If your destination points are 600 miles or less, high speed rail is way better but we settle for the cattle cars of modern airlines.
