1979. It was misguided but I feel the peak of women’s autonomy was the ability to get an abortion. Not many CEOs back then. Add to that she was a drug addled star whose handlers knew she was at the peak of her earning and the band. She was high all the time.

The difference is Stevie was thirty one years old when she murdered her child for continued fame and notoriety in the pop music world.
The child she so proudly killed would be about around forty four years old if she hadn't summarily terminated its life before it had even had a chance to breathe.
She had the resources to bear and raise that baby and instead chose her own sick and selfish desires.

I'm watching videos of Floor Jansen tour right now WHILE PREGNANT. Makes no bones about being pg and prances around on stage with a full arse bump. Did same thing back in 2019 when she was having her first kid. Floor just released a solo album right before she announced she was pregnant and is still frigging touring. She's put out two albums (One with Nightwish) since having her first kid.
So all this crap about giving up a baby for music is bull.

I think “the music” is Nicks trying to rationalize it years later. I’d bet it had more to do with her being a cocaine driven wreck of a human being at the time.
I’m always going to be pro choice. But this is another illustration of how heavy the tab is to pay for an abortion later in life. Still rationalizing the choice when she was in her 70’s.

Bingo. The same people who shame her for having the abortion would shame her even more for going through with the pregnancy while having a raging cocaine addiction leading to having a child with who knows what birth defects.

I agree. I believe too many people minimize or trivialize the lasting burden that decision has, particularly in the formative years of a woman's life. That's doing a disservice to the women you're trying to "help".

How anyone considers her the GOAT anything is beyond me. The chick cannot sing. The next time she hits the right note will be the first time. The wife and I saw Fleetwood Mac about 5-6 years ago in the Florida Panthers arena and Stevie was painful to listen to. Christine McVie was always the better singer - and person.
