Yes, at least 3-5 days a week I either totally eliminate carbs or at least limit them to no more than 10-15 grams. Been doing this for the past 5 years or so and at 66, my blood sugar was 68 at my wellness check.

Coke the drink is not a carb, right?

Well, heck with that diet. No way.

I drank green smoothies for two weeks - only snacked on nuts - felt great but didn’t lose any weight

I do this all the time. Feel so much better when I stick to it for 3-4 days.

I’m pretty stubborn. Can lose weight relatively if I want or need to. Being hungry doesn’t bother me after the third day.

Easy. To up the challenge, go a full day without ANY food or caloric beverages.
It's surprisingly easy once you get used to it.

I’ve had over 50 grams of carbs in a day maybe 3 times since 1/1.

If you’re talking about one and a half days, calories wouldn’t matter, you just eat seven and a half pounds of food without discharging any

A lot of it was probably water weight. Carbs hold water so you drop a few pounds of water pretty quickly….and will gain them back quickly. You have to drink water all the time to stay hydrated.
The worst hangover you’ll ever have is if you’re going low carbs and drink too much liquor. You’ll shrivel up like a prune and need to drink a gallon of water to keep from shriveling up and dying.

I've done it in the past, but i'm not pleasant to be around during the break
Now I stay around 1,500 calories a day while trying to go between 150-200g's of protein

Yes, that is par for the course at my house.
Posted on 5/22/23 at 6:48 pm to GumboPot
I do that almost every day.
