Donor paid for private school for Clarence Thomas’ family member

They keep going after Thomas. Is there something there or not? It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

This is the problem. Thomas has blatantly crossed the line. However, so have the Clintons, Bidens, etc.
In and ideal world, I would want Thomas out, but the other side doesn’t operate by the same standards.
ETA: so many of you are giving negative replies by literally agreeing with me.
It’s not just this incident with Thomas. It’s the free trips, the gifts, the sweetheart deal on his mom’s house. Whether or not any of this has influenced his time on the bench, I don’t know. But what I do know is that he has used his position on the court to benefit himself and possibly violated US tax laws. That doesn’t meat the standards of the court.
BUT as I said above, I’m on the right. He’s in my team. He may be corrupt, but so are they. At least he is going to vote my way. So no, I don’t want him removed.

I tend to agree. I assume this is an ethics violation, at minimum. Perhaps IRS issues also. But if others aren’t punished, why should he be? I hate that I even had to type that.

Did this donor have business before the court?? Or is this just a friend?? Were there any laws at the time that were broken??
Didnt RBG get an all inclusive paid trip by her friend (who had business before the court) to Israel?? Where is the outcry for that?? Don't these hit pieces seem a bit one sided??

If ol Sodamayor can sit on a SCOTUS hearing involving a publisher that paid her $3 million and didn't think it was necessary to recuse herself from the proceedings.....well, I don't think ol Clarence has any worries.
