It’s weird to say but he has kinda regressed. He was cool the first couple seasons. Don’t think the passion for his job is there anymore. Could be wrong, just how it sounds most of the time.

I think he's pretty good. And listening to other school's announcers, he's definitely better than most, and a LOT better than some. Hawthorne was likable, but he got soooo much wrong during games towards the end of his career, it was hard to listen to.

I was just saying Big Ben needs to be the voice for LSU baseball, but I’m sure he gets a lot more money from ESPN

You know why Rod Bramblett was such an electric announcer for Auburn?
Well he was an Auburn fan. Hawthorne while not a graduate was an LSU fan.

See this is one of the problems. You have to deduce what just happened from crowd noise and the plays that follow, because far too often Blair doesn’t tell you what just happened.

Jesus I hope not. Hunt is my least favorite of them all… even the little league coach dude who thinks he’s still at practice every time he calls a game, uses every play as an “important teaching lesson/moment for all the youngsters listening”; even that guy is better than Hunt imo.

I wasn’t a huge fan at first but he’s grown on me. I’ve said it before but go back and listen to some of his calls from big moments in the 2019 LSU football season. Or the bama game from this year.
When the moments are huge he absolutely delivers. He was ok today but let’s be honest - we were up 6-0 in the 3rd. Wasn’t a lot of big wild moments for him to go nuts in the press box. I am betting he will do a great job when LSU explodes in Omaha.
