mean that is pushing it a bit, but to have him keep throwing in a 14-5 game was kinda careless
whats a normal bullpen for him?

Yeah how do you know it was Jay, not our all world pitching coach?

Dude who hasn’t been here a year is already blowing out arms in some guys’ minds. This board is retarded.

Definitely couldn’t have anything to do with the mileage put on their arms before stepping foot on campus.

I just thought it was funny the guy just assumed it was jay's decision to put him in. Not the actual pitching coach who was hired to make these decisions. Could be either one but he has no idea.

Usually the HC makes pretty much every call during a game. Im sure he relies on CWJ’s opinions & input a lot but ultimately its CJJs call.

The ice pack didn’t look like it was on his elbow. Maybe it was a bad angle or maybe it’s just wishful thinking on my part.

It was on his forearm. We were there behind the LSU dugout and it was absolutely on his forearm. Ice pack was also gone after the game.

That being said, he was clearly in a lot of pain when he came off the mound after his last pitch, and he was very wild just prior to. He definitely didn't look right.

Garrett experienced soreness after UT game Thursday night. Had nothing to do with Ark series. He was designated as emergency only against UT Saturday. He was rested enough and good to go today. It was unfortunate what happened today, but all signs point to a pronator muscle strain. The pain started on his change up two pitches before his last pitch.

So his arm was sore in his next outing after the double dip vs Ark and you are totally ruling that out as a contributing factor?

Look I know pitching injuries can never directly be traced to one thing but the score was 14-5 and he is pitching for the 2nd time that day. That is so frickin insane for a guy who is your 2nd best pitcher. Considering they won’t even let Skenes take a pinch hit

I heard he had the Tommy John surgery after the game. No wait, actually he had the surgery in the 9th innning.....in the dugout...and it was performed by Dylan Crews. Yeah......he's that good.

Not sure on exact numbers but the scenario presented above isn’t good.

Game 1:

Threw 10 pitches and got the last 2 outs in 9th

Game 2:

Edwards enters 5th inning for Herring in a 10-4 game with no outs and 2 on. Puts out the fire by only allowing 1 R

Pitches top of 6th in a 10-5 game.

LSU scores 4 in B6 to go up 14-5.

Edwards pitches 7th in 14-5 game

Edwards pitches 8th inning in 14-5 game.

Cooper relieves him in 9th.

That’s great Edwards isn’t a starter. Defend him pitching two innings in a 14-5 game. Let’s hear it

Just curious, but I doubt you’ll answer… but what the frick makes you think that you’re the ultimate authority on the staff’s arm usage? How did we come this far, to the point where a world class baseball institution is outclassed by a mid forty something year old white guilted douche who has never played organized sports past the age of 11 on the complicated issue of arm strength/health

I’m genuinely curious
