Seems to me the narrative is, if your a person of color, it's fine to be racist. I'll be glad for the day when people openly admit to being racists and we can get on with our lives, instead of tap dancing around it.

White people in the north live apart from the black communities.
In the south, white kids grew up around black kids because there’s a higher % of blacks in every community.
I’d wager we have far better race relations in the south.
