I’m proud of the Tigers.
But Clark is probably the best female college basketball player in the country. She put 30 points on the board herself for Iowa in that game.
They unraveled after the technical foul called on her. LSU lead by no less than 10+ points the rest of the game after that foul.

Endorsement deals. The more views your social media gets, the more companies will pay you to get their product in front of eyeballs. It's no different than a TV show that has more viewers charging more for a commercial during their time slot.

In a way, it’s kinda true.
The fact that a basically all white team with the best college player on it was playing an all black team was gonna make black folks not want Iowa to win.
Had it been a black versus black team and Clark was black, black folks would have been all about Caitlin Clark and her shooting ability

Those sites usually overestimate numbers, but just scrolling through I see partnerships with JBL, Powerade, LG, Cane's and Overtime. All those posts are straight $ in her pocket.

One sponsored post with an account with a million plus followers can pay them as much as $100K. They have ongoing endorsement deals too. Livy has commercials airing on primetime TV so she has transcended social media.
Also, Flau'jae has a record deal with Roc Nation apparently so I am sure that is where a lot of her money comes from.

They are clearly upset about getting beaten.
LSU earned the win. Iowa had the best player in that game by far (Clark), but LSU had the best overall team with the best leadership.

yeah, i wouldn't be surprised if livy's income is underreported. she's just a famous person who happens to be a gymnast at lsu at this point.

This part is true. There is a racial element at play that contributed to LSU being the fan favorite.
No sense in pretending that elephant in the room isn't there.
Nonetheless, Iowa had an amazing season. Clark played brilliantly. LSU was just a better team even if they didn't have the best player. Congrats to LSU!
