There was another Barry Seal movie in the 80’s with Dennis Hopper. I think it was called Double Cross The Barry Seal Story. It may have been an HBO movie. IMHO a better movie than American Made.

Yep. Much better movie.

Poloza did him the worst requiring him to sleep every night at a Salvation Army 1/2 way house for six months. Basically

Polozola wrote the execution schedule and named the place for all practical purposes.

Pollozola fricked EWE. Not saying EWE didn’t deserve scrutiny but in that trial Pollozola did all he could to screw him. And did.

Only Hollywood would have Tom Cruise play Barry Seal. Barry should have been played by Alex Jones.

Met an old military airplane mechanic at my mechanic’s shop a couple years ago just talking shite. Started telling me stories of flying to central and South America to repossess airplanes from the cartel.

I say something about the Tom Cruise movie (air America or something) and he snaps backs “Barry Seals was a good friend of mine….until those FBI sons of bitches murdered him.”

Interesting convo. He was passionate about what they’d done to him.

He was a little bitty old boy, but left the impression of a bad arse.

Isn't that the one on or by horseshoe bend with a little pond or something in front of it where Barry reportedly would land a small plane sometimes?

I was told by someone who knew Big Wendell that some sort of aircraft would land there. Can’t recall if he said helicopter or airplane. But he did say that Wendell would take his boat out late at night. No doubt Wendell was involved.

The shark life thread was one of my favorites on the OT. I was in tears. #RIPDragon

I lived on Redmond Lake rd. in the late 70's. Heard many night time landings and takeoffs. I believe it was the Coppazola's name on the mailbox at the driveway.

This driveway/runway and house belonged to Barry Seal.

Have heard that said on this site, but friends down Kendalwood said it has only belonged to Cappizzoli (and whoever bought it recently).

Yep, that was/is Dr Lou Capazola's runway and house in the 80s/90s. Not sure if it had anything to do with Seal before then.

The DEA lost their minds at Polozola putting their best source of information in a shooting gallery. Polozola was so convinced at his own righteousness that he could not see anything past himself. he also said "wherever i am is federal court."
