Engine pretty damn weak. I just got the v6 one figuring our son would eventually inherit it in 8 years since it’s a Toyota

If you read my post a few up.. this was the Toyota I Test Drove. Its a great vehicle, but it was over $40k and it was a little too much "plasticy" on the inside for me so I passed on this one.

Highlander Platinum Hybrid is legit. And it has the turbo I4 which is a good engine. My only hesitation is on the battery life but the warranty is longer than the rest and reviews say 200k. The lower end Highlanders won’t be near as nice inside. You’re paying for the reliable engine. But if you jump up to the higher end models it’s crazy nice.

Yes for two years, it is great. High 30s around town, low to mid 30s on the highway.

Toyota hybrids are a lot of bang for the buck. You'll probably pay off the hybrid upgrade in a year or two.

Bought my wife one a little over a year ago. Been a great car. No problems no complaints. The hybrid option “only” costs $1,500 more. It’s definitely worth it if you’re in a lot of sit and go traffic.

If you baby it you can get extremely good gas mileage. The drivers around you will be pissed though.
