All will be answered in next 30 days. I’ve not wasted any time trying to decipher. It’s obviously a great team, but so was Tenn last year.Good baseball fortune decides who gets the spoils more often than not.

Starting pitching is great.

Skenes
Hurd
Floyd
Little

I still hope to see the bullpen continue to strengthen. After Cooper and Ackenhausen I don’t know how solid we are

Competition has not been great and I don't expect to consistently run rule SEC opponents but this team has a great things going for it.

1. Lineup has no weak spots.
2. Pitching is deep and has an elite Friday guy.
3. Defense has been great so far
4. Very few base running miscues

That’s right. Skip always said that he wanted his lineup set by the time he filed his taxes.

What I like about this team is we have great personalities and respectful of the game vs arrogance . Also are led by Crews who isn’t extremely vocal but make no mistake he is our leader.
Speaking of Tenn, it would be nice to blank them when they come to town.

Nobody knows anything about their team yet. The SEC is 189 and 29 against in out of conference games. Very few of these games have been against anything resembling SEC talent. Most of the losses came when SEC schools were pitching their midweek starters. We will know more a week from today after the TAM series as will some others after they play this weekend as well.

Do not be fooled by cupcake games.

The difference is SEC pitching which we have not faced

Remember Iowa St That is the difference great pitching makes.

I was at that game and kind of glad to get that self inflicted beat down over with early in the year.
I like Riley but not a Saturday or weekend starter really.
We also left 15-16 dudes on the bags, so it is, what it was.
