Holy shite at the first few opinions in this thread.

Outside of Mando, its the best thing SW has done in a long time.

It is excellent adult television.

Kinda surprised at the first few comments. I’m currently rewatching the Mando stuff before getting into S3, then I’ll finally get to Andor.

Everything I’ve heard from people though is it’s excellent, and some friends have even claimed better than Mandolorian, although that seems quite the praise to me.

Google "Andor boring" or "Andor slow". It's very common. Look at the reddit block:

I watched 3 episodes and the first 2 should have been about 20 minutes combined.

Episode three was exciting and I need To try and get back into it but it felt like a chore.

Same. I hated 1 and 2 and fell asleep and was bored trying to get through it and I don't even think i made it all the way on 2. So far I like 3 and I hope the rest is more like 3 or better.

I enjoyed the series overall. But, the first two episodes were a chore to watch. They could have edited them at least somewhat.

My second favorite to the Mandalorian of the new Disney SW shows that have come out.

It's well-cast and well-acted. But I also think Rogue One is one of the best of the new SW movies, so it makes sense I'd enjoy Andor.

Some say it’s a slow burn, and I’m not a slow burn guy, but I enjoyed it. The story & dialogue kept it interesting and not boring. The last couple episode were very good & I can’t wait for season 2.

It's different than Mando.

I think one of the things that catches people, is it's not "exciting"... it uses tension instead, and it does so expertly.

It is a very mature, adult series (not meaning T&A).

Nobody is "good", or "evil". These are just people trying to do their thing. Sometimes they are assholes, sometimes the assholes are good. Sometimes they're bad. Every so often, one or two are able to step back and see the bigger picture, and realize what is happening at the macro level.

And the beauty of it is, everything is done to a very high standard. The acting is top notch, nobody mails it in, and that includes some great actors displaying their craft. There are some fantastic character studies here, that you never see in an action movie or series.

Take Cyril- he's not a bad dude. He's stuck in a nobody job, and tries to do it the best he can. He tries to excel at it, and gets fricked over. But he doesn't quit, he does his best to power through it. We laugh at his circumstances, but damn, that guy is grinding away when he could have (was told to) let it go and move on. Because technically, he "was right" and just did what he was supposed to do, and he's not going to let them frick him over. Even when he's got the Empire's version of the Gestapo looking at him, he doesn't flinch. Because in his mind, he "knows" they can dig as deep as they want to, and it will show he's just trying to do exactly what he was supposed to do, and do it well. No subversive stuff, no slacking, no looking the other way.

To me it's equal in quality to Mandalorian. But it's more scheming slow plot as opposed to shooty guns action. I loved it

In my opinion, it’s the best thing in the Star Wars Universe since Empire, and it was the best show I’ve personally watched in the last year or two.

As many mentioned the show seems to be darker and targeted towards adults or those seeking more serious tones. Reddit average user is 23 with their largest demographic 18-29 according to their numbers. So I was pointing out not a valid source outside of proven who it is catered to or those that want special effects instead of story line would not not enjoy it. Just saying

It’s the best show in several years, and the best Star Wars since the empire strikes back. The acting and dialogue are top notch. No scene or line is wasted. Episode 10 might be my favorite episode of any show.
