I’d move it to the 13th inning.
Otherwise I’m fine with the rule.

Should be at least the 11th so you get one minimum regular extra inning.
Or the runner starts at 1st.
Maybe regular baseball in the 10th...nobody on. Runner on 1st in the 11th, and runner on 2nd in the 12th and after.
I hate this damn rule. I'm sure the players loved it and that's why it's staying.

How big of a lead can the runner take when the limit has been reached?
As big as they want. However, the pitcher can still throw to first. They just have to get the out, or the player gets 2nd. So if they take too big a lead, they might get thrown out.
I don't love this rule, but if you're going to have the pitch clock, you need this or the pitcher would just throw to first every time they got close to going over on the clock.

The players almost unanimously love it.

I was at a 15 inning game at Wrigly probably around 2015...day game the stands were packed when the game started, I stayed the whole game and there were....maybe...1000 fans left when Rizzo hit a walk off B-15.

This doesn't surprise me.
I don't hate it as much as some of y'all, but do wish it would progress more.

The ole Ghost Runner is back.
Leave it to Rob "It's Just A Hunk Of Metal" Manfred to once again diminish something that wasn't broken.

local? have you seen the MLB blackout rules? they might be the dumbest blackout rules in American sports.
Seriously. I’m 8 hours from ATL and get blacked out for Braves games.

Banning the shift and limiting pick-off attempts are both dumber.
I'm glad the shift is gone. It'll actually put defense at a premium now up the middle. frick the shift.

This one will be interesting. This will put more emphasis on stopping the running game and having a strong catcher. Thus why I think the Braves got Sean Murphy.

I’m 4.5 hours and can watch every game. Hell I watch all the games so I must de in the dark on this blackout rule.

Don't forget the bigger bases give runners an extra hand getting into 2nd.

Michael Kay has been saying this since the rule was adopted.

Is this real?
Just give 'em a free kick from CF and call it.

So dopey. (It's a middle-finger to Traditionalists)
If they're going to jump this shark, just start extra innings with the based loaded

This was supposed to be gone last year, and was retained for no reason. Now we're stuck with it? Isn't the point of an experiment to see how well it works or is received? Almost no one likes the rule. So what is the basis for keeping it? It's not improving the fan experience.

The players love it. Of course they do, they don't want to play 18 innings in a regular season game.

That's interesting. Because every time I hear a player speak about it, it's not complimentary.
And how many games go 18 innings? Stop with the exaggeration to make a point. But when they do happen, they make for some of the greatest memories. No one is going to talk about games that ended in softball rules, except to do so negatively. It's wuss ball.

Continue adding runners as you go - runner on 3rd in the next inning, 1st and 2nd in the next, 2nd and 3rd, and then bases loaded to start after that.
