I keep seeing where everyone on this board feels Alabama will struggle next season breaking in a new QB. I agree that there will be some expected growing pains for Alabama after JPW leaves, but what interests me is, with the way all of you are clamoring for Jordan Jefferson and Russell Shepard, wouldn't that put LSU in the same exact situation?

From what I can tell, it's a consensus among your fanbase that Lee will not be your QB next season. Where is your experienced QB going to come from next season?

I did not start this thread to ruffle feathers, I just thought it was ironic that everyone here is anticipating Alabama's downfall next season for lack of an experienced QB, when LSU seems to be headed in the same direction. Are you saying that Lee will be your starter? Or are you counting on Jefferson and Shepard?

Thanks.

If JJ is brought along like J. Russell get some playing time towards the end of the season and compete hard in the spring and fall, we could end up in the SECCG as we did Russell RS Soph year. The big question is without us seeing him we have no clue what he can do. We all have seen and been brought to our knees watching Lee.

If Russel Sheperd is football smart he is the perfect fit for Crowton's O...but Les probably won't give him any PT either.

LEE is the man untill he leaves. He will bounce back and be great. I was at the last LSU home game vs. alabama and john parker willson cost bama that game with 2 turnovers in the red zone. Last year he cost you the game again getting stripped at the 3by chad jones. Do you hold that aginst him this year?? No you don't even think about it. Perrilloux cost us this year and we will pay for it again next year. But once Lee is a junior... he will be a beast much like matt staford from uga.

The visible improvement in performance usually happens during the offseason. Lee will be in the mix next season regardless if he gets every snap right now or not.

A combination of observing and getting into the fire isn't necessarily bad for any QBs we have right now that won't be redshirted.

no it is the opinion of the rantards of this fanbase that say lee will not be the qb next year. im glad it is up to the coaches and not them. Lee will be equivilant to your JPW but better in the years to come. JPW struggled and lost games for his team in the early years but has them at #1 right now.

Bama will not be as good next year after losing the leadership and relative low mistake qb in JPW. Star will make more mistakes and not be able to make the clutch plays that come with experience and maturity thus you will not be as good

The biggest problem for Bama next season won't be QB it will be having to face a once again hungry Tiger team. No question Bama and all the rest of the SEC for that matter benefitted from a satisfied Tiger squad.

Yes, but it was clear Saturday, that with an average QB for LSU, LSU beats bama pretty handily , say 2 TD's. Do you see it that way? AS LSU fans we do, but we are Bias

Seriously, we hung 200 yards rushing on a solid run Defense..

How many passes we were away off? How many were dropped? 1 inside the 5 yard line!
4 passes were picked!
1 for a TD..

We matched up well against you guys..JPW is a solid senior QB...You will probably do better than we are with Lee, you can't do much worse that what we are doing?

LSU is a one loss club with an Average serviceable QB.

As a fan, all my fears of Saban doing this and that, all went away...Kind of strange, but LSU isn't taking a back seat to Bama or anyone anytime soon...This year and the next will be frustrating to watch...just like our 2004 2005 and 2006 clubs, but then eventually you break thru and win it all.

both our MNC came from 5th year Seniors on a odd years where the schedule is most favorable for us

Does Bama have a "Russell Shepard" waiting to start next year?

Shepard will go through Spring Training and if he's ready....expect him to play.

I expect to see Lee get most of the snaps with Shepard playing a Perrilloux-type role.

Well, then they'd be wrong.....

You better just hope Alabama doesn't get OSU in the Sugar Bowl and lose.....that would be embarrassing!

well it's a good thing they don't actually decide right?

miles will say it's an open competition, but with actual game experience lee has the better chance. but i believe JJ will be reps just like perriloux did.
