Why aren't slow left-lane drivers way more of a recurring topic on here?

Seems like a natural fit for this place. One of my favorite things to rant about. Creates bottlenecks and anxiety in traffic, and bottlenecks and anxiety in traffic creates traffic accidents.

It's not good to judge people, but I just people who cruise in the left lane and get passed on the right. Either they are closer to clinically retarded than normal or they just really really lack basic observational awareness and common sense.

At some point from the time you're 16 to current day, I just don't understand how you couldn't look around you and put 2 and 2 together.

Gets talked about a lot because it's infuriating to those of us who follow the rules of the road.

No situational awareness...just them on the road.

They are the same people that leave their trashcans at the road all week.

Think of the ticket revenue State Police could generate if they enforced this.

What does the OT hate more. Left lane campers or cyclers?

Errrybody does it. If I drive, say from BSL to Orlando I will pass twice as many cars who are camped out in the left lane, than those in the right.

One rule, yield to the faster driver. End of story, but Americans are far too proud and dumb to do that.

Just pass on the right. I've seen plenty of drivers do this. Now you can get a ticket for passing on the right, but complaining about people not getting tickets for going "slow" on the left lane is lame.

If you ever drive over the speed limit you have no right to complain about someone driving "slow" in the left lane. Just think of how many driving violations are not ticketed.

Complaining about slow drivers in the left lane is a white man thing. Just drive like Blacks or Latinos or Asians and weave through the lanes and pass on the right or the left or in the middle if you don't live in the boondocks.

I think people who don't use their blinkers should be talked about more.

It's infuriating but people are already exponentially worse drivers than they were merely a few years ago. Slow left lane drivers are the least I have to worry about on my commute.

I find that the people who do this are often from Texas and/or drive trucks

Context matters. If someone is moving slower in the left lane than traffic is flowing is the right lane, then complete ignorance on their part.

If someone is moving at 7+ mph faster than speed limit in the left lane and is consistently moving faster than the flow of traffic in the right lane, then there’s some nuance here. The left lane driver should move right when possible. However, someone going 15 mph over doesn’t have the right to complain about getting slowed down in the left lane if the 7+ mph driver is actively passing folks in the right lane. At this point, the fastest driver is in the wrong.

It’s a very common topic.
Adults asking when to tip edges that topic out, but we have these threads often

Worse for me are the people who you see wanting to pullout in front of you and you say “ don’t you fricking do it” and they proceed to pull out in front of you and go so slow

That makes me rage like nothing else .

Slow left lane drivers aren't the problem. They can typically get passed on the right.

It's the left lane drivers driving at the speed limit paired with heavy traffic in the right lane, preventing others from driving over the speed limit. That's the problem.
