He was an average to slightly above average college QB.
Based on the last 24 hours, I would also say he was a below average father for letting his son make such a foolish and impulsive decision.

I'm gonna disagree based on some facts. Walker was never gonna start at LSU in 2023 and 2024. He wants immediate playing time.
Jamie and Walker made the best decision for Walker's future to see immediate PT and to compete for a starting job in 2023 and definitely by 2024. Walker can join the TCU football team right now and be QB2 while competing for the #1 job. Chandler Morris (Chad Morris' son) will take over next year and listed as QB1. Morris is small 5'10" 178 and injury prone. TCU QB2 has already hit the TP and transferred to CAL. So for 2023, the competition for QB1 will be between Walker and Morris.
Walker wanted the easiest path to starting and knew he would sit at least 2 years at LSU.

i would say actually the opposite. he didnt let his ego and his loyality to LSU cloud his judgement on helping his son make an informed decision
howard wasnt beating out NUSS, period. wasnt going to start until RS junior year at best....big time Qbs are not gonna sit and wait like that in the portal era and frankly it would be kind of dumb to do that.
