You can tell they don’t want to cancel this game. The guy hasn’t said a fricking word during this whole ordeal. Only word we got from the league was to take a five minute break and get back to work.

I hope the NFLPA goes scorched earth on them.

This has dragged on for an hour. Ridiculous.

This could be the straw to get Goodell out.

He’s sucked for years. But, hey, he makes the owners money.

Perhaps it’s been decided now they’re formulating the plan? Just because you don’t know doesn’t mean no decision has been made

And frick Rodger Goodell

The reason the game is going to be canceled. The players and coaches are not going to play. The NFL will say they chose. NFL was forced by players and the 2 head coaches.

Im not a fan of Goodell, but this is a ridiculous take. This was a big deal involving many moving parts, and many millions of dollars and a lot of ticket holders. Even if they planned to postpone the game at the beginning of this, an hour or so isnt an unreasonable amount of time to go through everything before you make an announcement.

They are paid opposition.

If they had any credibility they wouldn't have allowed 17 game 18 week season. And says nothing with the crappy Thursday games and short weeks for player health.

He absolutely should resign over this. Can only imagine how toxic the headlines are going to be the next couple of days.

Why is this a shock? Goodell has been the most incompetent & corrupt professional sports commissioner for over a decade now & he is still there because he takes all the hits for the owners for them. For him to still be in charge after being busted for fabricating the entire "Bountygate" in order to help with the concussion lawsuit is insane. He should have been fired then but apparently he is untouchable. He only cares about money & protecting the League at all cost.

Tua and Foles having seizures on the field wasn’t enough. Unfortunately, it takes this to put him on the hot seat.

Side note, the fact that Tyreek Hill is still playing in the NFL should be enough to fire Goodell.

Tough one. I think they may have been waiting for positive news. Syncope episode or something. Canceled now, so that’s good. Prayers.

Did canceling the game save to the dude's life? If not, who the frick cares what happens with the game? You obviously care more about THE GAME and Goodell, than the dude who might die.

Oh, you're concerned about some words he didn't say in a timely manner? What about his leadership in demanding every NFL player get a experimental gene altering drug? It's not called the "Clot Shot" for nothing. This is just the first NFL player and won't be the last. The soccer world has seen many die this past year.

I remember the night Owen Hart fell and died and Vince McMahon continued on with the show, later claiming, "that's what Owen would have wanted."

There was a lot of $ to be lost by canceling/postponing the remainder of the game but at least Goodell made the right call in the end... of course I'm sure he was receiving immense pressure to do so.
