Of course, I am determined to cook bacon and eggs on this one day

Very quiet after you get it started, has click ignition that you have to press a few times to get the pilot lit, I use a candle lighter cause it is quieter

Ouachita Parish
18 degrees 6mph NW wind.
Box stand with no windows and the propane heater on high. Probably 45-50 in here. Not cold but not hot either.

Oh, and I haven’t seen shite.

My wife makes cinnamon rolls, bacon and cheese biscuits, etc at the camp and wraps them in foil. I keep them in my pack and me and the kids heat them on the heater during our am sits with a thermos of coffee. It’s the best

Figured I'd see if my new gay retriever would pick up a dove. He was 4-4. He's got a bit of a hard mouth but he's a fetching dude. Never thought I'd hunt a poodle. My lab was not amused being left on the bench.

Yea they don't shed. Real smart dog but goofy as hell. My daughter taught him to fetch and all kind of other tricks. It took an act to get him over being gun shy but he's catching on.

Nada.

Fed heavily. Heading out to wrap a few presents, drink eggnog, and make deviled eggs. All that followed by some 4pm Jesus, Buffalo Trace, then supper and visiting with both extended families shortly there after.

Good luck to everyone sticking it out mid-day and afternoon. Back at it Monday morning. Merry Christmas OB!

Nice size. Going to get it caped and tanned.

I thought it was a deer walking. I had done some grunts and not long after heard the leaves moving. Stood up in the climber so I could look behind me and saw him.

38(?) degrees

Joined the afternoon hunt. Pigs, yotes, deer. All I’ve seen is a squirrel and my .22 is at home.

I’d like a pig honestly. In a stand where we’ve seen them but I doubt one moves by this afternoon.

Ah that felling when you go to unload your rifle only to realize you never put one in the chamber in the first place. Glad big nuts didn't run out.

Merry Christmas baws
