I predicted this whole murder mystery would boil down to an art heist. I was half-right.
Or completely wrong.

Craig's accent bounces from Louisiana to Alabama to Charleston, depending on the scene. I wonder if this is intentional campiness or just bad.
Well his full history is never shared; maybe he grew up in both.
It's also asking a British actor to give a Southern accent (Louisiana) without going overboard with it. Alabama's version is one of the better known ones (along with Cajun and Georgia-Antebellum), so it's not surprising that he probably had more material to base off his accent off of to come from Alabama.

What part were you right about? No one stole the Mona Lisa or any other piece of art.

Wife and I enjoyed the hell out of this movie. Will watch the first one now. Never saw it.

The first two thirds were awesome, but the ending was a bit off the rails.
Because the first 2/3rds was a modern version of And Then There Were None. Then Johnson had to make the last bit…well exactly what you would expect from Rian Johnson. If he doesn’t make Bron an idiot, I’d hold this in a much higher regard. The last 15 minutes is just crap.

Now, he thinks he can do this genre better than Agatha Christie (read any of his press for this one). He’s reveling in the press calling him the new AC.
By ripping off And Then There Were None with a shitty ending?

5/10 and I thought the acting was poor for the most part. Hudson was laughable, not in a good way.

The first one was great, with a great cast, the onion was not. Craig made the movie watchable. Never really came together like the first one. Did not take advantage of Norton’s talents, just not a good character fit for him. Michael Myers would’ve been perfect imho. Janelle Monáe Is just not appealing to me.
I’ve watched the 1st movie multiple times. I’ll probably never watch this one again. It was kind of stupid.

Not a sequel. Johnson said he's mad they put knives out in the title. Knives Out is great. I'm gonna try this later maybe.

I’m honestly surprised at the more negative reviews. Completely agree that it was a step below the first but I wanted something new and this was.
. Especially the people going after the covid 10 minutes. I’m as antiwoke as they come but nothing on this was in the least bit eye rolling other than Blanc being gay.
It didn’t have the same New England panache as the first one but was it’s own story and had some unique and over the top characters that I liked. To each their own.

Especially since Norton's character was eerily similar to being Elon Musk.
Given the plot of the movie, I would say he’s closer to Bill Gates than Musk

Movie was ok I thought, but Craig playing "Among Us" with random celebrities over zoom while in a tub as cringe was hell

It was clearly a blend of all those famous billionaires at different parts of the movie
In some of the flash backs he’s dressed just like Steve Jobs, he also does a Theranos pose dressed like Elizabeth Holmes in that magazine, the plot about the company itself was a reference to Zuck/Facebook (meta), and basically all of his actions in the movie are poking fun at the last year or so of Elon’s roller coaster of a life. I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole plot about Miles sleeping with fakeRogan’s girlfriend wasn’t just an overt reference to all those rumors that Elon was sleeping with those executives wives at google (or whatever the story was there)
Y’all are fighting over which billionaires reputation isn’t reflected in here, when it’s simply that they are all reflected in the movie at different points I don’t think people appreciate how much of a spoof movie this really is. Its not quite Clue level spoof, but it’s close

I also see it as more of a spoof comedy than a murder mystery.

I’m team musk of our current crop of billionaires, but he was obviously skewereing everybody and nobody at the same time. First one took shots at alt right trolls, conservatives, leftist college kids, and liberals all the same.
Johnson is a dick for tLJ, but both Knives Out have taken shots at everyone, and if you can’t appreciate or laugh at that you need to re-evaluate your tribe.

Anyone that just wanted an enjoyable movie to watch probably liked this. I watched with 4 people and everyone liked it

I mean it has Daniel Craig playing the same person.
