It really isn’t a big deal one way or another. LSU had Bama on the ropes with a .500 team last year .LSU beat Bama’s arse this year on a rebuilding year . Whether Ricks comes here or not doesn’t matter . Bama had their best shot to beat us this year with the new staff and failed . LSU is the new king of the west .

GTFOH...We just beat them and we were one pass away from beating Bama at Bama last year with a lame duck coach and Max Johnson at QB. If Max could have thrown it downfield accurately in any fashion, LSU would have won too. And LSU held them to their lowest rushing total in their history to in 2021. LSU will be ready for Bama just like they have been the last two years.

The dude is 71. This year he seemed to show it. Coaching is a demanding job, even more so with an extended recruiting period, NIL and the transfer portal. Raise your hand if you want to be working at 71. Working full time at a demanding job in your sixties is hard enough. Someone posted he’s done after the next natty to break Beat Bryant’s record. Everyone was a little surprised at how much he was on the network’s lobbying immediately after the season.

I believe he has less time left coaching than most think. He's a control freak in every sense of the term and has less control now than he's ever had. I give him 4 years tops. Makes sense that he would go all in on this class.

Either way with the portal Bama will not hold on 2 all these guys for 4 years like they did before. Times have changed and I think Saban knows that. No team will be able to hold on to everyone anymore

Agreed, and like A&M's best ever recruiting class last year, pay them enough and they're suddenly "rich" and can't focus even if they want to. They focus more on not getting hurt so they can make it to the next level. No school will bet the best from a kid like that. NIL has changed college football forever. Absolutely stop caring about Ricks and his ilk. I'm old enough to remember several who played LSU right until the end. They then ultimately became a Tiger and were nothing special. Anyone remember Rogee Magee? Yeah, I don't either. I am very proud to have CBK and am so far pleased and surpised by his accomplishments and approach. Go Tigers!
