You know it's based on a true story right? A bunch of guys working on an iron ore freighter died when their boat sank during a storm on Lake Superior. James Cameron actually deviated really far off from the real events but that's Hollywood for you.

On a related note, if you have almost 3 hours to spare, this real-time sinking video of the Titanic is really cool. It came out a few weeks ago, not to be confused with the 'Titanic Honor and Glory' real time video from 3 or 4 years ago.

So that was the only door floating around? She didn't even say "hey go swim around and try to find another something to float on." I always thought she should've at least tried to share or do something to help. She just let him freeze his butt off till he perished.

It’s also not a good look when the poor die in sacrifice to save the rich. It really should have been the other way around. She was going to take her own life anyway. Jack was loving his life. The movie gave no evidence that Rose had a great life after Jack died. Seems like she really blew it and his death was for nothing.
No telling what that young man could have accomplished had he lived … with that fricking diamond.

Really encapsulates how fricked up that ending was. To use a fairly recent example, it was like the new star wars trilogy, I don't think the writers ever stopped to realize how fricked up and wrong it actually was.
