Not acknowledging it is not rejecting it. Nothing about this series excites me.

The games are mostly meaningless, the campuses are too far away for me to enjoy a road trip, they havent won more than 10 games but once since 2000, their fan base is not engaging or fun and they're too weird to think that much about.

I put them on the Arkansas level and well behind Florida, Auburn and Bama

Put this in perspective… we have played 4$8 more times throughout history than we have played Auburn. Say what you want 4$8 is a “traditional” rival. The hate exists between the programs.

Yep! Lots of memories as a kid watching A&M come into TS in the 80's and 90's.

The shorthorns were deadbeat dads so we did the right thing and stepped up to take their place temporarily until they came back to get their kid. That's really about all it was to me.

Hopefully we can go back to playing Arkansas on Black Friday, our games with them are actually fun. Other than the 7OT game and last year's game, the A&M games have not really been that entertaining or memorable, maybe I'm in the minority with that opinion but just how I feel. I remember Fournette trucking that guy in 2014 but other than that most of the memorable things from this series have been things outside of the game. Les Miles singing the alma mater when we thought he was fired, Joe Burrow running out with the Burreaux jersey on senior night, doing the smirk in the press conference the week leading up to it, etc.

I can remember with great detail many plays/games/drives against Arkansas, whether they were in wins or losses. Don't get me wrong the Cracklins were a forced rivalry too but the games were at least fun and delivered a bunch of memorable highlights whether it was both the Miracle on Markhams, both those games against McFadden and the crew in 06 and 07 where the losers of both games went to the SEC CG anyway, Jennings going 99 yards for the win, Chad Jones destroying that kid while we were wearing Washington unis, etc. Much more deserving of a season finale imo.

I hate TAMU for reasons completely unrelated to my LSU fandom, therefore it is not a rivalry to me.

it absolutely is a fricking rivalry game!!

we have played them the 6th most out of everyone in the SEC. OUr win % is not much better than against ole miss.

we played them cont in the 40s, 60-75, 86-95, 2011-present

frick those cult loving fricks

if you are in engineering then you understand why they are a rival. Arrogant fricking bastards who cant do shite in the real world, can only do things on the computer and no matter what they will still tell you they are better than you because you know.....that gay arse ring and all.

frick them, i hate them way more than any other team. Only time i pull for alabama to win is against them. Hope they go 0-10 every year.

A&M’s rival will always be Texas no matter how much they want to pretend they aren’t.

Neither of these statements are true. Someone above mentioned we've played them more than auburn.
LSU vs Ole Miss and Arkansas are more one sided but they're still rivalry games. Texas is far above Texas A&M but it's clearly a rivalry. Same thing can be said about UGA/Ga Tech, USCe/Clemson, USCw/UCLA, and Oklahoma/OK State. The Iron Bowl and Bama/Tennessee are both pretty lopsided. A lot of times it's just about proximity of the 2 fan bases and Houston has a ton of tigers and aggies. Any LSU fan in Texas hates those guys.
I posted this earlier but refusing to acknowledge a game as a rivalry bc we're better than them sounds like insecurity and it's the reason arkansas gets up for our game every year and we don't. When you don't acknowledge a rivalry because the team is beneath you, you get a trap game

This right here... By putting TAM at the end of our schedule EVERY YEAR since they joined the SEC, the conference has forced this "Rivalry". Some of you embraced it, others think its BS and forced. I for 1 say they forced this on us and it was "cemented" byt the conference's & media's reaction to the 7OT game in everyone else's mind.

There is history there. LSU has played the Aggies more than a lot of SEC schools.

I would have accepted an organic rivalry by nature of us trading W/Ls. But that game left a bad taste in my mouth and all I want to do every year is pound them into red mist so ppl see that they are too far beneath us. Except this plays right into the hands of the "it's a rivalry!" squad.

Playing tons of games with a team doesn't mean it's = rivalry. That's also dumb logic. It's a combination of many things that make a rivalry none of which TAMU fits the bill towards.

The past 20-30 years there's almost no story between LSU/TAMU other than LSU motorboating them most years. It's a boring series that most LSU fans don't acknowledge as a rivalry. The last time TAMU was relevant was before a significant chunk of the LSU fanbase was even born.

There's been no history to maintain whatever fabricated rivalry existed between the 2 schools. Nobody cares about TAMU and LSU has very little true storied rivalries if any which is why the SEC tried to make one up here where it doesn't exist because LSU is a marquee SEC program.

We play the SEC teams a lot and we all hate each other. Doesn't make us all rivals.

It's a rivalry for us LSU alums in Houston. Aggies are like cock roaches around Houston. Aggies are fricking annoying and weird. My boss is an Aggie and he even thinks they are weird.

Watch Lucci's TexasAg Radio show on You Tube for a minute or two and you see how weird the Aggies are. Lucci is alright and tolerable but that entire radio staff is weird.

I dont consider them equal at all. just because I love when we or anyone else beats the dog shite out of them, that doesn't mean they are a rival. They have no significant wins against st us and have never beaten us and gone on to win any thing. Because they have never won anything. Not owning it because it’s horse shite.
