Ki-Jana Carter

Dude was an absolute freak in college. Got drafted by the Bengals, tore up his knee on the third carry of his career, followed by a torn labrum, broken wrist, and dislocated knee cap.

Modern sports medicine likely would have made a significant difference in Carter's career. He was never the same after missing almost 2 years with a torn ACL.

Was also an NFL caliber player. Super athlete. STILL looks like he could play. Would have loved to see him get a chance at the D1 level, he was an animal and a good dude despite the BS he went through

I am not an Alabama fan at all but enjoyed watching Tyrone Prothro. Not sure how he would have fared at the next level because of his size but I would liked to have seen him play out his eligibility.

Vick in modern RPO offense would be a nightmare.

Vick wouldn’t be as effective in a league where they were built to stop RPO offenses… he really popped when compared to guys like the Mannings and Brady who were statues

I think Tebow was about all he could've been in the NFL

He also would have been in a much better offensive scheme to fit his skill set (most likely).

Mickey Mantle, he hit 536 Home Runs and was considered one of the fastest players in baseball on a torn ACL

His body was falling apart due to injury and he was abusing it at the same time. Should have been the greatest player who ever lived but couldn't get out of his own way.

How different does the NBA look late 90’s and post Jordan if Grant Hill and Penny Hardaway aren’t slowed by injuries?

Off the top of my head from motorsports, the ones who died:
Alan Kulwicki
Larry Detjens
Ayrton Senna
Kevin Gobrecht
Davey Allison
Bryan Clauson
Dan Wheldon
Jim Clark
Tim Richmond

The ones who were injured:
Ernie Irvan
Alex Zanardi
Brad Doty

The ones who had legal or personal issues:
Gary Balough
Tyler Walker
Bobby Isaac

Personally though, if Jeff Purvis had stuck with driving a dirt late model instead of going to pavement his career statistics might’ve surpassed a Gretzky like level. He was that damn good on dirt.

Every one of these names are great. But there’s only one man that the sports world may never see another quite the same.
