It's odd that frequently we drop a 'y' and add 'ie', e.g., cry becomes cries, but in this instance we drop 'ie' and add a 'y'. This blows my mind and I vow to sit here and do nothing but ponder this for a couple of minutes.

On topic...OP clearly got caught doing something inappropriate with insane woman A. She has enlisted insane woman B to help her cover it up and get him fired. He's here trying to salvage some sympathy. (It's a theory I'm working on.)

I worked in a department that was doing a good job and things ran smoothly for years.

There are about 12 people in my department and there had not been a person fired for a decade or more.

Then we got a new supervisor who was an attractive woman. She literally picked one person a year to fire. She began in August documenting everything that person did as wrong and blaming everything on that person and usually around May fired the person after causing as much pain as possible.

The first person fired was a kind, sweet older lady who had been in the job for over 20 years. She was not the best, sharpest employee but she was kind and her job wasn’t super hard and that’s why she had lasted so long.

Then the supervisor started going after one competent, good employee a year. She did this three years in a row and got back around to the person she hired to replace the older lady three years ago.

The supervisor got promoted and we have not had a firing in the 3 years she has been gone.

Two things stuck with me about the experience.

1. The supervisor just got off on causing misery, pain, and fear in the employees. The firings did not make our department better it just made us scared of this woman. She always seemed to pick someone she could bully and they would react by crying and trying extra hard to please her. No employee once chosen ever got off the bad list.

2. The other employees never tried to publicly help the chosen employee under fire. We were just glad it wasn’t us. We privately supported the employee but no one made a stand to help.

The employees that got fired all found jobs other places and did well at their next job but just went through a year of hell for no reason.

This experience has shaped my mindset that at the first sign my bosses aren’t happy I’m looking for a new job.

You should record them screaming at you and then send that to HR, hopefully they are threatening you, can also stir shite up for the boss / company on the way out by reporting the threats to cops too then roll out.

You can be fired for recording people at work. It might also be illegal in your state. If you are going that route check the company policy and laws and probably have a lawyer in the discussion.

I only add that because, one time we were working on a job with a bunch of people. The 2 psychos screamed at me from 30ft claiming that I threw out their samples.
An older female employee reported it to my boss that they "treat me like a dog, and talk to me inappropriately". Nothing happened.

My wife says I need to report shite to ethics hotline.

You gotta give people a chance. Isolate, then ask them why they were being a dick.

They usually apologize or flee. Rarely violence.

The OP has done nothing wrong, and you are telling him to bail. HR is there for a reason (to protect the company.) He cannot fix the problem if he does not take the steps. He has to at least give HR the chance to do their gig.

Do you really think HR is going to go to bay for a white dude against a couple of women? Hell, the entire HR paradigm exists solely to give unqualified women jobs.

An instrument that needed to be in service at a certain time wasn't. As a result people were scrambling to get it up and support production.[quote]

[quote]It was claimed I didn't do my job.
Thing is, I did. I had the instrument setup ready to go.

This is confusing. You state that the instrument wasn't ready at a certain time. You didn't state that 'it was alleged not to be ready.'
Then you say, people scrambled to get it up to support production. If it was ready to go, as you state, how do people scramble, or for how long do people scramble, before they realize that, "Hey, it's ready to go now."
Trying to make some sense out of this because of the poor way you described the event, it appears that you may have done your job having the instrument ready, but you failed to convey that information prior to needing the instrument.
I mean, WTF happened?
employee 1 "Oh, it's time to use the instrument."
employee 2 "It's not ready"
employee 1 "How do you know."
employee 2 "The data and emails or tags aren't here to confirm."
employee 1 "Let's call that 6'4" tech with the athletic build who is responsible and ask him the story."
employee 2 "Nah, that makes too much sense. Let's scramble to get it on, even though he's the one responsible and qualified to get it ready."
employee 1 "Great idea! If we find out it was ready to go, we can lie and say it wasn't."

Being considered a liar is a badge of honor in some workplaces. You might be on track for a promotion. Don’t mess this up.

Good luck. Sorry this is happening.

Sorry it is hard to explain.

I did the work.

Then when it came time to put into service. She claimed it wasn't. She went and re did the work. Pretended I didn't do it.

I have electronic data that it was good to go two weeks before this went down.

She literally went and re did everything to make it look like I didn't do shite.

Even if you are right and have proof you were right it sounds like things aren’t going your way. I’d stop worrying about things beyond your control. If you think you are in real trouble start looking for another job. It is infinitely easier to get a job while employed vs after getting fired.

i came across a similar situation. i had an install with a customer engineer i had scheduled that they promptly cancelled as i was on the way to my airport to fly to. he did not relay to his boss that he cancelled it. i had documented a dozen emails and calls i had to try and schedule and reschedule this. the only evidence of the cancellation was his call 2 hours before my flight, which i verbally relayed to my boss. i was operating under good faith that we would get it taken care of because they had dropped several hundred thousand dollars already.

we finally go out to that neck of the woods for an unrelated matter and i had asked the individual if we could do the install that day with no response. my boss swung by this customer to check in and found out the work hadn't been completed. he was ready to rip my arse and then i showed him the reachouts, and call from the customer that cancelled the work. i offered to show this to the customer's boss, but they didn't care to see it. saved face with my employer, but lost the customer. people are going to be loyal to their own in the face of evidence.

sometimes you just have to grin and bear it. as another said, better to get another job now then get fired and be looking.

eeesh, that really sucks man.

at this point. i might update my resume, publish the counter evidence you have to management, and then sit and wait. not that you would, but be careful not to lash out or retaliate. let them get caught up in their own bullshite sooner or later.

Get another job.

Whether what what’s being said is true or not, you’re being singled out and nothing you’re doing is making that better.

a few questions...

Union job?

Based in Louisiana I assume?

do you have direct access to HR or management above your supervisor?

I would ask if HR will help you document everything and present to upper leadership, not as a complaint but more of going on record in the event of wrongful termination.

If HR blows you off document that as well and then you can file a grievance with the labor board.

There are many laws to protect you from this and any retaliation for trying to protect yourself as well.

Being lied about is the most painful thing. It is much worse in your personal life, especially if you have been generous and made personal sacrifices for that person. The sting is soul shaking, especially if the lies are meant to intentionally hurt you. Remember, the world is full of sociopaths, narcissists, etc. and at some point they will target you. It’s just a matter of when and how close they are to you.
