So move to an affordable location. Get a better job.
You are not entitled to a home that you are renting from someone else beyond the terms of your lease. Period. If you want the same monthly rate on your home in perpetuity, buy it and negotiate those terms with your lender, or quit signing monthly leases.
Move out of the uber expensive cities that provide zero upward wage mobility for the uneducated.
But regardless, all you need to do is propose specifically how we would amend the constitution to force landlords to lose money. Then we can actually discuss. Nothing is gained from pissing matches over vague abstractions.

There were less degenerate bums in 1776.

Not my fricking problem.

Why are guns a right in the Constitution but not affordable housing?

Spot on. Market forces will ensure fair and competitive housing prices. If there is any incongruity between the housing market and pricing, that blame lies solely with government intervention in matters such as rates, petro products, section 8, etc.
Further, tenant cant refuse to seek higher employment or relocate to more affordable areas, then demand that same government to price fix housing for them.

In the United States in 2022, homelessness is a choice.

So is minimum wage a livable wage?
Who cares? There shouldnt be a minimum wage. Many people who are being paid minimum are not worth what they are being paid.
Example would be MANY in fast food.
If we want more productive members of society we would abolish all welfare.

Nope. Addiction doesn't go away because it gets the OK.

Nope.

Nope, it's solanine, found in all nightshades, not NEARLY as toxic.

water intoxication can kill you
I can kill someone with pot easier than forcing enough water down their throat to deplete them of electrolytes.
These are the stupid "bro science" musings of potheads. They're not true, but the sound smart, so they get repeated.

I would argue that minimum wage, regardless of where its set, should NEVER be a living wage. This only incentivizes laziness and career stagnation, and it forces prices upward. We've seen this happen in places like Seattle where it was tried.
If you want affordable housing, living wages are one of the fastest ways to destroy that.

That is a magnificent way to have discussion. I know that you know he won’t do anything of the sort, but I applaud your rational way of approaching debate.
Goes back to the idea that it’s harder to tell someone they’ve been fooled than to actually fool someone.

I actually agree with him, and I have read it! You should read it, too Mr. Agreeable. You should learn how to debate from him.

Here's the great thing about the Constitution. If you want affordable housing to become a right, there are ways to amend the constitution to make it so.

Does that mean we need affordable fuel prices?

There are debates surrounding if guns or abortion should be rights but no one is rallying to end homelessness constitutionally. Why is that?
You have the same rights for a home as you do for a firearm: you have the right to purchase and then possess it. Aside from expropriation and property taxes, there's little difference in limits of ownership between the two.
