Don't get me wrong, the loss sucks and I would have much rather won, but with the way we started clicking in the second half I feel better about where we are right now. Andy is a clear upgrade from Jameis and if we ride with him we will win more than we have been. If these injuries get figured out I think we can claw our way back into the playoff discussion. It'll be a long road to get there but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

The Saints often start very slowly.

This feels like 7-10. Something is off.

No, you are not wrong. This team could easily rattle off 5 straight and all the sudden we're in the discussion for the division. With this defense, if we can get the protection issues worked out, we're not out of anything yet. Just need to get some momentum.

This is a good defense, Top five for sure. I don't think the OL is that bad. I picked MIN to be in the Super Bowl (losing to Buffalo). They are a good team. We outplayed them with journeymen folks. I think Dalton should be the QB, though, until Winston is 100% healthy. I thought our running game North and South was great - East to West was egregious. Hopefully we recognize the strengths and align our plans to them.

We're only 1 game back in the division. No need to panic.

I have found the flaw in your premise

Yea I feel think we'll need jameis out another game for Dalton to get a true opportunity to take over going forward. And even then Jameis likely starts his first game healthy until he screws up.

Dennis Allen has a shitty record for a reason... he will start Jameis the first chance he gets.

Yes
Can’t finish.
Hell, we’ve only lead for like 5 min all season.
We’re a 5 win team.

I wish I could have this kind of faith but there’s no way I trust Dennis Allen to lead us out of this hole.

Slow starts, turnovers, penalties. All coaching.

Do you believe that the Saints stick with Dalton going forward? If not then you should feel like shite!

On a different note...

You're better off... After a Saints loss, the rest of Sunday and Mondays were miserable, until I had an waking up. It's just entertainment, why do I need to make my life miserable just because the Saints lost.

My dad use to work the sidelines at Tulane Stadium for Saints games, he was the same way, until one day he woke up. After a bad Saints loss, he noticed both team's players all shaking hands and being all friendly with each other. He told himself, why am I getting upset and these guys don't give a rat's arse. Ever since then he stopped worrying about wins or losses at that level.

Literally all we have to do is stop fricking fumbling the football.

Stop trying to extend players or get an extra yard or try to get out of a sack. Just take the loss or the tackle and move on.

That’s it, do that and we would be undefeated right now. Do that and we have a good enough defense and competent enough offense to win NFL games

I think so, yes

We're 1-3 and have no QB. The rest of the season doesn't look good.

We do have a good roster to where all we need is average QB play to get be a .500 team, but we're 2 games behind that and do not have an average QB on the roster at the moment.

Margin of error is kunt hair thin...they could easily be 4-0.

It's funny how fickle this board is. 6 weeks ago you would have 160 downvotes and a thread littered with snark and ridicule for stating such an obvious falsehood. Now you are in the green on upvotes and that falsehood ain't so obvious anymore.

The BlackNGold Blinders are strong on this board, and the obnoxiousness of those wearing them rivals that of Falcons fans.

And yes, I do agree with your assessment except for the playoffs. I think that's a longshot, and right now the focus just needs to be on playing more consistently on offense. Hopefully playoffs become a possibility, but at the moment it's a tough one.

If they stop turning it over things will be fine. They can still win 10 games.

If the turnover situation continues, they might win 5.
