Would Patterson leave Texas and become a head coach again? There are already some noteworthy openings and potentially some more.
Auburn (dead man walking), Nebraska?, Arizona State?

I figured that he was basically the DC for Texas on the sideline watching the Bama game

Absolutely, otherwise he should quit coaching. Has to be a P5 school though.

He'll be 63 in February of 2023 - not sure he would undertake an overhaul - especially like Nebraska. He also seems like such a "Texas guy". I have a hard time picturing him coaching any other teams outside the state.

At a high pressure job like Auburn or Nebraska? He's in his 60s now.

TCU is paying him through 2024 season. Reportedly $6M/yr.

I wanted him when we previously had openings but I don’t think so now.
