I think they just threw the case

The Justice Department announced in a court filing Monday that they already reviewed documents seized from former President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, and that they identified a "limited set" of documents that could include information protected by attorney-client privilege.

So they illegally siezed and looked at privileged documents.....ruh roh

If it keeps trump in the spotlight, can make him look bad, give reasons for talking heads to keep him on tv instead of LGB’s horrible record they will run with it.

They don’t care about the law or civility anymore. Remember when everyone claimed “the adults are back in charge” and “decency matters” after the election? Yeah it was all BS

Yes, that is the PURPOSE of a filter/taint team.

At least three of us told y’all last week that the filter team would have finished its review of the documents by today. They probably finished a week ago.

I continue to believe that Judge Cannon will still appoint a special master to “check the work” of the filter team in identifying all of the privileged material.

No, they legally took possession of documents pursuant to a validly-issued warrant, and they had a filter team review those documents to assure that the investigative team would NOT have access to privileged information, per SOP.

There is no case. They'll get more mileage out of the whisper campaign and wild rumors than they would from the actual documents.

It's looking more and more like injecting headlines like "Trump may have had nuclear secrets" is the end goal of this.

Since this is a persecution of Trump, attorney/client privilege is not applicable. The government gets everything and its okay.

This is just a play to prevent a special master from being appointed. They absolutely DO NOT want third party review of this.

A President has very broad latitude in what he can claim as personal also.

Notice that they don't mention DOJ-NSD? They pin it all on ODNI and generalized DOJ as cover.

They seem to brag that they are above all oversight, even Congress, this Judge Aileen, and the Gang of 8.

Is the inventory and chain of custody such that they are unable to plant something that was not from Mar a Lago?

From the article
quote:

a privilege review team went through the documents.

Not the DOJ investigators.
