Nice to see young LaFleur tabbed as a national top 100 recruit in 247’s initial rankings for the class of 2025. Have to think we have a good chance. ;)

Is this the love child of John David Booty and David LaFleur?

David is his father, and obviously there was some booty involved.

With a name like John David LaFleur I don’t see how he could go anywhere other than LSU

Slightly off topic, What happened to his dad's NFL career? I'm guessing injury but I don't really know...

Couldn't stay healthy. After multiple injuries he ended up retiring due to serious back issues.

You can bet your arse BK is on this guy; Top 100 and he’s a TE.

he had a back injury that really cut his career short. He has done extremely well in the business world with the open air MRIs centers. Great guy and great family.

I think it was determined that one leg was shorter than the other. It caused him to have back issues.
Dallas Cowboys if I recall.

240 lbs at 15 makes me think he plays OT not TE. He moves well for his size at this age but I’m not sure how realistic it is for him to stay in the 250 range once he fully matures.

I taught this young man in CCD in middle school and he was such a quiet and respectful kid. Even in middle school he was a very tall kid. Will be a great pickup if he chooses LSU.

Yuuuup, David, Jamie Howard, and Bob Jicks invested in 1 diagnostic imaging center back in the mid 90's and now they're partners and manage over 2 dozen centers. Jamie branched out into other medical field and insurance related businesses.

Would be great if the offense would open a little more to get the ball to him.

I don’t know the parents like a few here I just go to alot of Sulphur games. He got a few targets last season and did well. But they also had a kid that eventually signed with McNeese and they just didn’t seem to make that much of an effort to get the ball to him. And it wasn’t like the 2-TEs weren’t running routes either.

My mother sold her house to David Lafleur many years ago. That makes us almost family. Send me a check, Dave.

Holy shite I feel old. Remember JD from when he was a toddler. David’s parents were my neighbors growing up. Wow

He should be much more involved in offense this year especially with qb returning and experienced group of receivers that will require more attention. He's definitely a big target and route running/understanding of offense has improved. He will definitely be in the game plan each week.
