So earlier there was an article calling Max Johnson a bum. Also his name has been thrown around not very positively in here since last year. So let’s take a look.
Max Johnson 27tds 6ints comp%58. On a horribly coached team with the program sinking but in the SEC.
Jayden Daniels 10td and 10int 64% comp. On a horribly coached team with the program sinking but in the PAC 12.
Can someone explain to me how Johnson is horrible yet JD gets a pass because his team was bad?? TIA.

Daniels had better stats when he had good receivers. His TD to int ratio last year wasn’t good but you failed to mention he completed 65% of his passes. He also rushed for 700 yards and scored 6 TD’s on the ground.

I’d say he gets more of a pass because his weapons were nothing like what we have here at LSU. He also has better rushing stats than Max by far and he did have success his freshman year in his only other full season of play. That was when he had good weapons around him.

Max has a limited ceiling. He is okay, but not great.
Jayden actually had a higher QB rating as a fresh and soph. IDK what happened last season with Arizona State, but he definitely has better weapons at LSU.

What everyone else said, max was surrounded with better talent here.
Let’s see what Jayden does with the supporting cast he has here, before we judge.

Daniels isn't getting a pass. Daniels and Nuss are better than Brennan for the offense Kelly, Denbrock, and Sloan want to run. Myles quit. Get over your love affair with Myles.
Max didn't want to be an LSU Tiger and Jayden wants to be an LSU Tiger.
Max didn't want to compete for the starting QB position at LSU and thought he could walk into a situation where the competition would be easier. Turns out he may not beat out King. Tells a lot about Max.
Jayden beat UCLA and Max could not.
Kelly is riding with Jayden/Nuss and I'm riding with them. Kelly knows more about his team than I do I and I trust him. Keep hating on Daniels/Nuss, but I will support whoever LSU's QB is.
