2D athletics was the organization affiliated with it like a PG, Five Tool, etc. They were keeping stats, radar guns, etc., but I also didn't see any tracking equipment. They pretty much used almost every high school and college field from I think Lafayette(Acadiana) to Southeastern, so I don't think there was any way to track all of that other than a 2D rep at every field taking some pics, video, radar, and reporting final scores as the games completed.

I meant just running the stadium trackman for the games played in Alex Box (or the other colleges doing it for the games they host). They're leaving info on the table if they don't run the systems.

Yeah, they def might've run it at AB, but it was very few games overall played there. Maybe 2-3 per day for 4 days. Although, it did seem some of the top teams from each class level played at the box, which was not by accident. No clue about SELU, as it seems the older classes mainly played east of BR.

Wasn’t there an opening ceremony at the box? At least from the looks of it they had a HR derby and fastest man completion. Saw Eric Sim posting about it. They let him hit in the derby

Dylan Crews played in Marucci World Series when he was in high school.
I believe every team is guaranteed one game at Alex Box and I know Crews played at high school stadiums as well.

Rantz puts on a tournament in June with games at LSU as well and surrounding high schools.

Yes, home run derby and fastest comps at opening ceremonies. The Juco Bandit blanked on homers. Was hilarious. The kids were chanting overrated.

No, there was no guarantee on playing at AB. There were over 140 teams through 4 class ranges. I don’t doubt that crews played there though, as it seemed only top of the top level teams had a game there.

Prep Baseball Report has a showcase at The Box in late Sep/early Oct. That's where you'll see all of the data popping (velo, exit velo, etc), from a local standpoint.

Will Jay do any press conference about this recruiting class now that it's over? I know he just did a sit down with Michael Cauble, just was wondering if he was scheduled for anything else as a wrap up. I guess I like hearing CJJ talk baseball.

yea they werent running trackman i dont think. PBR will do that at their showcases at the box and all their showcases as they have a portable unit they setup. The WS is not really for that kind of data, more game play....the showcases get them all of the data stuff.

as far as contact, no recruits can not initiate contact either. its zero contact before aug of junior year. even for those already committed before the rule came down.

Probably in the next couple of weeks, I would assume around the time school starts and everyone reports.

2D is hosting a tournament this weekend at the Ruston Sports Complex with 19 teams participating. I wonder if they will be sending out content.

2D has 4-5 pages of pitching velo from the Marucci World Series. This is the first page. Casan Evans is an lsu commit. Schmidt is on there. Grant Breaux is an lsu 24’ down the list.

Saxon Roberts Is an Auburn commit

Schmidt has a good breaking ball and change, too. I hope we jump on him quick. He's already 6'4 and close too 200 lbs, with room to add good weight. His velo is gonna jump.

Someone was alluding that we were hard after him all summer and that may have played into his reasoning to back off the commitment.

I was told Schmidt doesn’t want to stay in-state and would rather go pro if the opportunity presents itself. Would be glad if they were wrong but just what I’ve heard.

Looks like the chatter from the roster turnover thread last week was correct. We hired Jeremy McMillan as S&C coach after Derek Groomer went to UGA with Wes. McMillan comes over from A&M.

From what I've heard from people who've worked for him, he is.
