In particular your pistol, looking at a light/red dot combo.

Also looking at a light for the shotgun. I use a a youth 20g 870 but want to keep it stock for my sons down the road.

Having trouble finding something.

I bought a Laspur sub compact tactical rail mount LED high lumen flashlight with strobe off amazon and installed it on my ATI Bulldog 12 gauge shotgun. Comes with a charge cord with a magnetic connector so you dont have to take it off the gun to charge. It was $40

A suppressor is probably the most useful accessory for a home defense pistol. It's already a FUBAR situation if you have a home invasion situation at night. You don't need a mega flash and a deafening boom in the midst of all that.

I have the advantage in my home. I don't mount anything on mine. I'll hit what I am aiming for. Don't need to give them something to aim at.

On my G17 I run a TLR and night sights (forget the brand). I have a G19 with a RMR but I haven't practiced enough with it to be as fast as I am with irons so I don't keep it by the bed or carry it daily yet.

Any of the "name brand" red dots are fairly proven at this point, and there are good options for most budgets.

TLR on the AR, O-light laser combo on the handgun. I was skeptical of the o-light and I generally try to avoid chinesium on primary weapons but it's pretty small and is nicely machined. I think it's called the Mini BALDR or something similar.

The best thing you can do is get a good reliable pistol and become familiar with it. Shoot it until you feel complete confidence and the gun basically becomes an extension of your body.

A couple of drops of CLP on the slide rails keeps it running just fine.

G19 with TLR-1 HL light. It’s good to have although you don’t have to use it. More for backyard stuff.

I have a P365XL with a Shield RMSC optic. If I can find a good light for it I might start using it. I shoot it better.

I have a couple of ARs but if I ever need one of those,…
