It seems like most of the libertarian conservatives who voted Trump ditched that party. Libertarian party seems to cater to more of the looney left now and slight government deregulation now

The Libertarian party can't get off the ground because you can't have a charismatic leader without a doctrine to preach. Personal Liberty scares the hell out of people when you get right down to it.

I can't speak to the LP, because they have always sucked so I never joined, but r/Libertarian is most assuredly a leftist hellhole.
It's to the point only like 25% of the posts even pretend to have a libertarian basis.

The LP went to shite when Gary Johnson exponentially increased the membership of the party with people who don't follow libertarian ideals at all.
Gary introduced the idea that you can be libertarian, without supporting the pillars of libertarianism, like for example, freedom of association, a first generation extremely vital liberty, which this fricking moron seems to think it's not neccesary.
Add all the leftists who want ''libertarian socialism'', and you have the piece of shite party that is nowadays, with the last candidate supporting a fricking marxist organization to sway voters, then backpedaling when seeing that actual libertarians didn't liked it.
The LP is a pathetic party that sell out before even actually winning strength, and most of the people there are either discontent idiots or just straight out socialist posing as libertarians.
They are disgusting to me, an actual libertarian.
