Only cruise I have been on was Oceania. Confirmed not trashy. Confirmed a lot of geriatrics.

My folks did a lot of cruising. The Silversea one in the Baltic Sea seemed pretty awesome. My 9th ward dad paid idk how much for the cruise, $700/ticket to watch Swan Lake by the Russian Ballet in St Petersberg, and snored through the entire thing.
They said it was a very odd mix of clientele though. Princess gets you on a little better than Carnival. Oceania seems to be the sweet spot. Very nice without being obscenely expensive and showy. Royal Clipper in the Caribbean seemed like a fun time too.
