You don't think any coach out there, any color, couldn't do what Joe Judge just pulled off? Yet he was pretty much a special teams lifer before getting to coach a team in New York.

It's a question of qualifications, yes, but just as much about opportunity. Minority coaches don't get nearly as many. They just don't.

Bro what if they just don’t want to fricking hire Eric Bienemy. No one wants to hire him. People need to get over it.

No one wants Eric Bienemy

Why wouldn't they? Gase was this perceived offensive genius but turned out to be a complete train wreck. Why weren't these apparent red flags that Bieniemy has not waving for him?

I find it crazy that the majority of people are completely glossing over the accusations of player tampering & an owner bribing to him to throw games.

Him suing means he better be dropped from the list without an interview.

If you bite the hand that feeds, it’s going to be very hard to eat sooner or later.

Doesn't the fact that Flores was already hired as a head coach defeat his argument that the league is racist and won't hire African Americans? He is literally proof that they will.

Now, he probably does have a wrongful termination complaint, but it is not like the Dolphins aren't still paying his salary, regardless of how he thinks he was treated.

Congrats on figuring out the "I have a black friend" angle for this.

The Saints actually handled the interview process the correct way.

If you don’t interview a black guy you’re racist. If you interview him but don’t hire him you are racist. If you hire him and then fire him you are racist.

If they had 80% of the coaching jobs they’d start talking about GM jobs or coaches salaries or ownership or whatever else the frick.

How about frick OFF lol.

His players play hard for him. He was just fired after back to back winning seasons with an organization and roster trying to tank. He has evidence that a team already decided on a different coach before he was going in to “interview for the job”.

Do y’all dumb frickers even think about this shite or educate yourselves on what’s happening before posting? Or do y’all just see story about race, go right to y’all natural stance of obviously being against the POC, then pretend you aren’t racist?

Also, comparing this to how few white players are in the league is absurd. Being a player is based on can you play.

There is no logical explanation for why white guys get more coaching opportunities than black guys considering no one knows if someone will be a good coach, and most players are black. It’s literally just white owners wanting white coaches over black coaches.

Flores has all the makings of a special young head coach, yet someone said they would rather Dennis Allen or Doug Pederson. One guy already failed, the other a complete disaster once the real guy behind his SB left.

Teams have no fricking clue which coach will give them the best chance to win. It’s a crapshoot.

Why all these white dudes that have McVay scent on them getting jobs, but not Bieniemy? Why white coaches get more second chances after failing than black coaches?

The shite you are saying is some of the most openly racist shite I’ve ever seen. You might as well say black people should just go back to being slaves since they are too dumb to do anything else.

Eta; I posted that before I read this

Don’t you think we could look at things like average IQ, literacy rates, and aptitude tests to get a population to support the argument that blacks aren’t as suited as whites for that type of position?

Holy shite! It’s coaching. Not splitting the atom. Some coaches don’t do shite concerning X’s and O’s. Literally just out there to give speeches and pump up the team. Does that take genius IQ levels and literature degree?

For real, a couple of y’all might as well just say y’all hate black people.

Bienemy's biggest issues are: Doug Pederson and Matt Nagy.

The Reid tree has some black eyes right now b/c it's clearly Reid's brain running things. I mean Pederson won a fricking SB and isn't getting too many serious looks at a HC job.

The hot tree right now is the Shannahan tree (via McVay/Kyle). Some of those progeny (like Matt Lafleur) have shown promise.

The biggest issue with black coaches right now (and it's been written before. This isn't my idea) is that black coaches making OC are rare in the NFL. There is a much higher population of black defensive coaches, and since offense is in now, black coaches are at a structural disadvantage moving forward.

That's why conflict-creators keep focusing on Bienemy, b/c he's the unicorn: successful black OC.

I think the only coach close to this in the NFL now is Campbell and I think we all know he's just a caretaker until they can build a roster.

Meathead HCs are out in the NFL. The future are guys like this:

There are 2 black coaches who are really moving up the ranks but are defensive guys. Jerod Mayo and Demeco Ryans (#SEC) will be HCs someday in the NFL. Mayo is only 35 and Ryans is 37. I imagine Ryans would have received some interviews this year if the 49ers didn't make it to the NFCCG. Mayo needs to get a DC job away from the Pats b/c that's future HC suicide
